"he was at my house," I said quietly, her attention went back to me and her expression softened "my ma refused to let him leave because of the rain and him riding a motorbike wasn't safe"

She looked between me and Shuanghui before looking back towards the twin in the doorway, who I recognise as Juanshou as he speaks "He's telling the truth, that's where we found him, sound asleep at the Kong's residence" his voice and the way he spoke was more formal then Kaihan's

She seemed to accept this answer as she nodded her head and turned back to us passing two cards to Shuanghui "try not to trouble others Shuanghui, you could use your car once in a while"

he seemed to frown at that and I shook my head "it's fine, it wasn't any trouble since we have a spare room that no one uses, even Dianfa doesn't use the spare room when he stays over, what confuses me is why he slept on the floor" I frowned in confusion and looked at Xing" before anyone could answer, Shuanghui grabbed his cards and walked off, the sad look on his mother and brother faces didn't make me question it, I looked at Shuanghui then back to his mother before lightly bowing "it was nice to meet you" I said before quickly following after Shuanghui

He looked at me and let out a sigh "are you hungry?"

I shook my head and looked down at Xing "no I just want to get home, Xing is tired and so am I"

He nodded before taking Xing from my arms and I gaped at him, still, I kept hold of the leash "I'll carry him, you said you're tired right?"

I frowned slightly "yeah but, you are allergic to him" I tried to take Xing back but he moved slightly out of the way and I frowned

"I'm only allergic to the saliva of a dog, the fur is fine, so as long as he doesn't lick or drool on me I should be fine, and you said he doesn't lick dirty things" he had a slight smirk, teasing me for what I said to him this morning

I let out a huff and continued walking beside him, It was silent but comfortable, it wasn't awkward like I thought it would be, Xing was half asleep in Shuanghui's arms only lifting his head when we walked up to my driveway, I didn't realise how close we lived near each other, I stopped spotting the motorbike and frowned "didn't you leave that at the office" I said pointing to the bike

He looked where I pouted and frowned before putting his hand on my shoulder to stop me from moving "does your friend get mad at you if you leave him somewhere?" he questioned and I shook my head he passed me, Xiao Xing, with a smile "good because Kuanwo does so I think it's best if you hold Xing now

I stared at him taking Xing from him and walking up the few steps to the door, unlocking the door I swing it open dodging a crushing hug from Dianfa as he comes running to the door, I quickly put Xing down and soon was engulfed in the tight clutched of Dianfa's arms "oh my god I turned around and you were gone I was so worried, are you ok, you're not hurt are you, he didn't hurt you did he" he rushed out in a worried voice, I frowned why does he always think Shuanghui is going to hurt me

Shuanghui scratched the back of his head in confusion "why would I hurt mengrui?" he questioned as I slipped from Dianfa's grip frowning slightly at him,

Tang and Ma came over to the front door, ma looked calm and Tang had a dark glare in his eyes that fell straight on Shuanghui "you're lucky I have respect for others while in their house or I'd beat the both of you up right now, do you know how much a pain this kid is taking him on a motorbike!" he huffed out folding his arms

"it's not our fault you both were too busy arguing over something stupid, ever thought about asking us if we wanted to celebrate?" I looked up at Shuanghui who was just smirking at Tang "besides, why would I celebrate without Mengrui when he can't drink right now even if he wanted to"

I walked out of the hall to the kitchen the medicine packet still on the side where Dianfa left it, I thought ma might have found it and packed it away guess not, I picked it up and threw it to Shuanghui "here you asked for it" then I bolted up the stairs before anyone could stop me, the chatter falling as I did so

"only because you need to take it, with something to eat" I heard him call up

Shuanghui POV

I frowned as he ran up the stairs "what medication?" Kong Meirong asked, as I went to go after him, I stopped and looked at her she looked worried "he doesn't like doctors or any medication"

I smiled at her "it's nothing serious just something to help him heal quicker" I assured her, "It's why I came yesterday to give it to him"

Dianfa seemed to be frowning he folded his arms across his chest "how did you manage to get him to take it, he's a nightmare on just pain meds"

I shrugged slightly "the first time I made him, this morning he took it himself just before you walked into the kitchen" I explained and made my way up the stairs

"he may seem like the bad guy at first" I heard Kuanwo say "but he has the biggest heart he always had even when..."

"I don't care, I don't trust him" I rolled my eyes as Dianfa cut him off, I knocked on Mengrui's door once I got upstairs

"go away" I heard from inside

I frowned "you need to eat"

he opens the door and glares at me "not hungry, goes home" he huffed out

"Not till you've eaten and taken your meds," I said folding my arms "I'll stay till you eat properly"

He shut the door on me with a huff "Go Home! he almost shouted
