On To The Story!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Erin was born female to two alchoholic parents and was an only child. They had lost their mother at 2 years old and their father blamed them for her death. Their father neglected them for almost all of their childhood then around the time that they turned 9, he began to abuse them, emotionally and physically. They had endured this for nearly four years until they couldn't stand it anymore and ran away.
After a few days of running they ended up in a town that had no name and wasn't on many modern maps. They went to the store in the town and quite literally bumped into a guy. Due to the abuse that they had endured from their father they had developed androphobia and got up without saying anything, their heart beating rapidly. They ran out the store without any food. They ended up in an alley that had a large fence with a dumpster two or three feet away. They hid in the small-ish space that was there and fell asleep.
They were awoken suddenly by a person's hand on their shoulder, shaking them slightly. They opened their eyes to see the same guy that they had bumped into at the store. They felt their heart beat speed up as they backed up a bit more towards the wall. The guy had short blue hair, most of it hidden underneath a teal-green beanie. His eyes' iris' were yellow with the whites of his eyes being an unusual bright green. He took his hand away and nodded toward the street, Erin assumed that there was more people over there.
Another guy who looked simillar to the guy that woke Erin up, walked towards them, accompanied by a girl. They all looked to be around Erin's age, maybe a year or two older. The first one to speak was the girl, "You know, when you bump into someone, you should apologize rather than just running away." Erin looked up at her, she had light brown hair, fair skin and brown eyes. Erin looked at the guy she bumped into and mumbled an apology under her breath. Speaking was dificult, it felt like there was a knot in Erin's throat, prefenting proper air flow and not really helping with their heart beats' quickening pace. The girl smiled and nodded a bit, she spoke again. "Alright, now that we've got that cleared up. What's your name?" Erin looked at them her heart rate slightly slowing back down as the girl spoke, "I-I'm Erin." They said, looking at the two guys that were just looking at them making them even more nervous than before. The boy that looked simillar to the one she had bumped into spoke, "I'm Shade, the guy you bumped into is my brother Neo." Erin nodded and looked at the girl as she spoke. "I'm Izzy, but that's not important right now, we have to get you fed and into some half decent clothes, then bring you to meet our family." Erin looked down at what they had been wearing, it was a slightly tattered white shir with a black ripped hoodie over it. They wore grey sweatpants and black vans shoes with it. They looked back up at the others and got up. Erin started to walk but they couldn't stand up properly due to having not eaten in 3 days. Neo and Shade ran to help them but Erin moved toward Izzy and leaned on her shoulder slightly. Due to the fact that Erin was quite a bit taller than Izzy, they barely had to move to be able to lean on Izzy.
As they walked they came apon a large house, it seemed to have at least 6 rooms in the front of it. Erin thought the house was mor the size of an apartment building . They all walked into the house after Izzy unlocked the door. Erin looked inside and it was quite tidy. The main floor had the livingroom to the right of the entrence and to the left there was a stairway going up. Erin smelt food, it was making their stomach growl a bit loudly. Izzy had Neo and Shade help hold Erin up as she went to the kitchen. A few seconds later Izzy came back with a woman following her, the woman looked to be around 20 with long black hair and green eyes. She looked at Erin and smiled, "Neo told me he had found someone new, I didn't believe him at first, but lookie here, you're standing right infront of me. I'm Tash, I'm basically the mother here to all the kids and teens who end up here with nowhere else to go. What's your name?" Tash asked Erin, a smile still on her face. "My name's Erin," they said smiling slightly at how nice she was. "Nice to meet you Erin, you can take the room at the end of the hall, top floor on the right." She said. Erin was confused. How had they known they were going to stay? Had they prepared for Erin to be there? Erin soon forgot about this as their stomach started growling again, Tash walked towards where Erin assumed the kitchen was, she waved them over and Neo and Shade began helping Erin over.
They all ate some food and Erin got settled in, after a while they met a few more people and even celebrated christmas for the first time. They got more used to being around others and is now thirteen living a normal life with a "mother" and friends.
