"LET ME OUT!" You scream at the door hearing the laughter as your being locked in a room filled with boxes.
You don't know how you got here you just know you don't want to be here.
"How are we going to get out of here?" You hear a familiar voice as something flashes through your head that you just can't quite grasp, not in this state at least.
"When will things go back to normal?" You hear the girl's voice say again, still wondering where it came from what memory, whose memory, you were seeing.
"I, Don't know. Will ever, things be the same?" You slurred to the embodied voice taking one last drink from the small cylindrical cup in your hand.
"I guess. I guess things will go back to normal once everything's back in its place, when we are where we're supposed to be." You glance across the room to see a window throwing the cup to the floor shatters into to many pieces to count as you start your slow wobbly journey over to the window.
"Things will be normal once the people at the top fall." You say trying desperately to find a way to open the window, finding that because of the height of the building you will be unsuccessful in all attempts to right the wrong.
"THINGS NEED TO BE NORMAL!" You yell throwing a chair at the window in an attempt to break it, knowing the only way to fix things is the unfulfilled breeze as the wind pushes past you, as you fall past each floor hearing nothing but the wind and the ground rush toward you 30 feet below you wish for the one thing that you will never get as you slowly start to see less and less as you pass out from whatever cheap whiskey you were chugging.
Then all of a sudden, your wake up. You look around slowly realizing where you are.
Your in your house, not in some room at the top of God knows what building. You sit up, your on your couch and you realize for the first time in a long time you're actually happy, your happy you couldn't open the window happy you were not able to kill yourself.
With those thoughts you go, you go and enjoy your day the first happy day since your wife died.
