Demon and it's host

Chapter 1

Koi was sleeping soundly, breathing was slow and rhythmic. Miles was on sitting in a chair next to her bed, watching over her like every night since he doesn't need sleep. He liked to see how calm she was, how cute her face looked relaxed and kinda puckered up. Miles smiled, although not having a mouth it was apparent he was. He only has his cotton button up on and he was wearing his usual black dress pants and dress shoes, he really should get new clothing for when he relaxes at home. Koi rolled over and adjusted herself in her sleep, pulling a blanket over her. Miles really did adore his host, not many ink demons could say they stayed right by their host's side and watching over them all night. Miles didn't realize how close he wants to be with his little host.

Koi slowly blinked awake, laying in her bed for a few minutes before sitting up and yawning, stretching her arms up and flexing her paws. she sighed and glanced at the chair next to her, Miles is missing from his usual place,
he must be making breakfast for me, like he usually does.

She rolls out of bed and pulls on her yellow t-shirt and her stripped bandana, walking through the living room into the kitchen / entrance area. She smiles as she smelt some delicious food and sees Miles over the kitchen stove, humming to their vintage styled radio. He senses Koi enter the kitchen and chirps,
"Good morning!"

Koi sits at the counter and wags her tail, grinning,

"Morning Miles! You seem awfully chipper today, whats the special occasion?"

he smiled and turned his head, grabbing a nearby clean plate and putting the bacon and eggs into the plate and sliding it to Koi.

"I just feel today is going to be swell is all! I'm just in such a chipper mood I guess!"

Miles turned the stove off and took off his cream apron that has some cute little plants on the front, he shares it with Koi. She was amused by the demon's joyous mood and it was very infectious, since she couldn't really stop smiling herself and started to chow down on her breakfast.

"Mm!! Miles this is really good! Thanks for the food."
Miles smiles and nods, "Oh no need to flatter me Koi, it is just bacon and eggs after all."

Koi took a few more bites before arguing, "But still! its really good!"

Miles was leaning on the counter and Koi finished her breakfast, her ink tail wagging happily, very pleased with her first meal of the day.

"So, where should we go for today's adventure?"

Koi thought for a moment, she has work from evening to 10 at the nearby cafe so they essentially have all day.
