As night fell, the light in the sky grew dimmer and dimmer. It was almost time for the little girl to go to bed.
She brushed her teeth and combed her hair before her parents helped her change into her night gown. She whined at the fact that it was bed time, but her parents soon reassured her it was alright and that morning would come before she knew it.
She shuffled her way down the hall and into her room. Her parents kissed her on the forehead and whispered, " i love you. Sweet dreams." They turned off the lights, leaving the room.
She rolled over closing her eyes, hoping to fall asleep.
The moon was fully in the sky now and she was fast asleep. Her parents also.
Her door creaked open and a man in all black tip toed his way in. He looked at the little toddler sleeping in her bed soundly.
He picked her up from out of her bed and rushed out of the door. The door slammed. The little girl was still sound asleep thinking that it was her mom carrying her.
They vanished into the night leaving no trace behind. Except one.
For years kids have always wondered if there was monsters under their bed. They would have their parents get on the ground and search under and in their closets. Well for this little girl, she had a reason.
A creature rose from the darkness under the tiny girls bed and another from her closet. A creature who looked as if was around 5 foot 5 inches, bright blue beady eyes, sharp claws, and fur as dark as the midnight sky.
The other, taller than the one from under the bed, was half transparent. As if it was a shadow with dust. It's figure was not defined but tried to stay as humanly as possible. It's eyes, pure white.
"Where's the child Phorra? You were suposed to be on night shift. You weren't suposed to let her out of your sight." The short one questioned.
"She's probably just with her mother Venus. I'm sorry that I fell asleep even though I've been doing shifts for the PAST 2 DAYS" Phorra expalined.
"Well u didn't do a very good job. Look.." Venus continued,
"This is her beaded necklace... her nor her mother would leave without it. She never takes it off.."
"We can't just leave. We are monsters." Phorra explained.
"Are you stupid? We are not noticeable by anyone but the child we are assigned to. Come on we've been doing this ever since she was born." Venus stated.
"Well then... I guess... lets go..." Phorra said scarily.
They headed into the night with the necklace hoping to catch a energy leading them towards her.
Luckily, Venus could feel a bit of a energy since the little girl was so attached to the necklace. They headed their way where the energy led them.
Morning came and the energy was very strong now. They were getting close. They landed their selves in a abandoned apartment complex. They could hear screams from a little girl. They knew that scream all to well.
They found their way as fast as they could into the building. They saw the girl and the girl saw them.
She screamed out of horror. Her knees were scraped up and her head was bleeding. A man came back into the room with a knife and towel.
Venus and Phorra couldn't do anything to scare the man because they were invisible to everybody but the girl. She looked at them as if saying 'help me' and they did just that.
Phorra grabbed the girl and the man screamed.
Phorra realised that all the man could see was a floating child. He decided to have a little fun.
He swung her around the room as the man screamed and the girl laughed. He soon ran out of the room screaming "Demon child! Demon child!"
Phorra looked at the little girl and she looked at Venus. Her eyes flickered with silver. Something told the monsters that they would be watching over her for a very long time.
