Through The Dark

Chapter 1

" Mom ! Help please..."

I wake up suddenly, breathing heavily as i sigh trying to calm down feeling my heart racing in my chest. Another nightmare about my mother. Would it stop one day! I pull out the bedsheets and check my phone. No way... am late for my first day at work!

I race into the bathroom for a quick shower then put on my new black skirt and white shirt that Elena picked for me yesterday. She said that i have to be more glowy and lovely, since am always wearing jeans and casual shirts. I have to admit that i look good in that outfit even if am feeling uncomfortable showing that much skin. Am exactly wearing Elena's style. She is my roomate for 2 years now and i really love her, she's been so kind and caring since first we met. Her parents bought her an apartement and we moved in together. She is so messy, i have always to clean after her and her friends' mess. Elena is that kind of girl who like partying and flirting all the time. I still remember that day when she forced me to go with her to a night-club. She end up on a random guy lap after 15 mins of our arrival there.

I look into the mirror, fix my wet hair from shower, and run out of the apartement to the bus stop.

Here we are. The big famous Forger's company. I stand in front of the entrance of the huge building, all curved glass and steal. I felt proud of myself for some seconds. I finally get a place in that company that i wished joining for a long time.

I take a deep breath and push the front glass door. As i walk in. I notice a young blonde woman behind her sandtone desk, working on her laptop dressed all black and white. Once i stand in front of her desk she rises to greet me and give me the most cheerful smile.

"hello ma'am , how can i help you?"

I look at her as i smile respectfuly back at her, playing with my fingers, feeling a little bit nervous. 

" I received an email yesterday for my apply, i should begin working today." 

she nods and look on her laptop then back at me with a little smile. 

" you must be the new assistant, Miss Lisa Rosy, right ?".

 I shake my head quickly as she taps something on her laptop again.

"Welcome here Miss Rosy, go to the 20 floor, my collegue will show you around and present you to M.Forger" . As i hear the name i feel a shiver down my spine.

 "Good... meeting my boss in the first day, relax Lisa it's all okay"

 i said to myself as i walk to elevator. I step out in a large lobby, decorated with some luxirious pantings on the walls, a large leather couch, and another young women sitting behind her desk. She raises her head and notices me then walks to as she reaches out for a handshake. I shake her hand and bow slightly then say in a curious voice:

"Am new, i just applied here for the new job and..."

"it's okay Miss Rosy, my co-worker already informed me of your arrival."

I smile, intimitated by her presence, and clear my throat. She flashes me a sweet smile and say:

"Follow me Miss Rosy, this way"

She leads me in a long hallway to a wood door with ASSISTANT craved on it. The young one before me opened the door for me. I smile to her and walking breathing faster. Its a very big office, equiped in two larges desks and black chairs. The walls are painted all in white, and huge windows are giving a beautiful sight of the city.
Someone clears his throat behind making me jump slightly as my heart pound in my chest. I turn around to find a beautiful tall women, smiling widely to me and looking at me with deep green eyes.

"Sorry for scaring you Miss Rosy, am Greece Linda, M.Forger's assistant."

I give her the most sweet smile i get and shake her hand.

"Call me Lisa, nice to meet you Miss Greece"

"Linda, please" 

she extends her arm pointing to the big grey desk signaling me to walk to it. I approach the desk and touch slowly the perfect wood of the table then look back to Linda with an exited look.

"it's your new desk Lisa, you are the new assistant, congratulations" 

she intertwins her fingers in front of her with that cheerful smile on her face. Am so happy at the moment knowing that i will be the assistant of the richest man in the city. i exhales sharply as a question crosses my brain. 

"And that means....you will quit? Am sorry for that."

She giggles making me more confused. Why would she be that comforable with quiting such a job. she cocks her head to one side and say softly:

"No Lisa, am not quitting, the work is more complicated here, so M.Forger proposed another post for another assistant. We will work together."

She lower her head pouting such a little baby.

"Unless you don't want to..."

I giggle and pull her to me hugging her and path her back softly.

"I don't think i can find a co-worker better than you Linda"

"Thank you Lisa, so sweet of you, i will let you settle then we will talk about the work you need to do later."
