"I just don't understand how you even ended up with detention." Ron said for what felt like the thousandth time to Hermione.
"You were there Ronald. What's not to understand?" She replied as they sat down and began putting food on her plate.
"It really wasn't necessary to take mine as well though, Hermione." Harry said as he sat next to her.
"We're already doing lines in her class Harry. Why should you have to do them all year?"
"I'd rather me than you."
"Well guess you never truly getting what you want is an advantage for me today." She said with a small smile.
Harry cracked a small grin before pulling food on his plate, muttering something about 'that damn toad' deserving hell.
They were only halfway through dinner when the Weasley twins approached the trio.
"Heard about the stunt you pulled in DADA today Granger." Fred said plopping down in the seat to her right.
"Normally we'd be impressed. Hell, we'd be cheering for you." George started as he took a seat next to Ron, across from Hermione, Harry and Fred.
"But out of all the years and all the classes to act out in...you had to choose this year in Umbridge's class." Fred finished.
"Oh for crying out loud. Wipe those looks off all your faces. It's only until the end of the school year which is in like a month and a few days."
"Yeah. A month and a few days full of extra lines with those stupid quills." Harry countered.
"Look what's done is done." She turned to Harry. "Keep the DA meeting the usual time so I can go straight from there to detention. It's 9-10:30."
"You've got to right lines for an hour and a half?" Fred questions.
"Yeah." She replied hesitantly. Why does Fred even care?
"Well then we should hurry. We've got about an hour until the meeting." Harry stood and walked to the doors followed by the rest of the trio and the twins.

"Great work today everyone." Harry shouted as everyone left.
"Great work on your behalf Harry." Hermione comments. "I would love you boost your ego even more but I've got about eight minutes to make it to detention. Don't wait up tonight. I'll see you in the morning."
"She'll be fine, Harry. She's strong as hell." Ginny whispers as she leaves.
"Yeah..."

Hermione was exhausted. Not only was it past 11 now but she had homework to get done. Umbridge was furious by the time Hermione's detention had rolled around and who better to take her anger out on. She made Hermione write 'I must not tell lies' with both her hands so there was a scar on each hand.
Yes, she was ambidextrous but that did not mean her handwriting was extremely neat with both hands. She did favor her right hand for writing.
The reason her detention had run late was because Umbridge was displeased with her handwriting when she switched to her left hand. Imagine what would have happened if Hermione was just right-handed.
She mumbled the password to the agitated Fat Lady and slumped down in front of the couch facing the cozy fire.
"You're late, Granger."
She looked up from her bag that she was unpacking to be greeted by the sight of a Weasley twin. The second no where to be seen.
"Technically I'm not late for anything besides bed."
