You were tired

It was about 10pm the sun was low-

Not to mention Lunch was- silent

But considering the fight, and your incredible ability to hold a grudge is probably the only reason-

You were in the forest not to far from the path collecting fire wood

You were hacking away at the trees with the axe that your dad gave you when you were 10 it was like yesterday

Dad surprised you with an axe and taught you how to use it to cut trees

Then from there you were the one who would collect wood for the fire pit or when winter slid in, perfect the for chimney

The small tree falls as you sigh

"J....JACK! WHERE ARE YOU?"
Your other older brother William yelled

You turn around and see William with the window open from his car

"What do ya want?"
You say sorta still pissed about the fight earlier

William opens the door from his car saying

"Awe now is that a way to talk to your older brother?"

William and Samantha were twins both being 24 years old and both having jobs,

Except William was a very wealthy man and has a wife of 1 year

While Samantha was not as lucky

"Well I'm not sorry-"

"I don't expect you to, just give your brother a big hug"
He extend his arms

You put down the axe and go to hug him and then ask

"How long are you staying here for?"

"Well-"
William starts

"It's a surprise!"
He laughs

You weren't surprised by this

He is a surprising man after all...

"JACK HURRY UP AND GET THE WOOD THE WEATHER FORCAST SAYS IT WILL SNOW OVER NIGHT"

Dad breaths in and the starts up again

"AND BRING THE SHOVEL"

Dad goes back inside leaving the door open and you go back to work

William has dragged his luggage and many gifts

Ofcourse you didn't care only the wood and the shovel those were main priority

You come into the house with all the wood from the small trees and more spare branches

William and Samantha were talking and catching up since they haven't seen each other in 4 months or less

"I'm really good! Thanks for asking!"
William exclaimed

And Samantha respond

"Well I am your twin, and i doubt Dad and Jack asked"

You put the wood down next to the chimney

Then you suddenly remember Ethan...

Ethan would always help with the wood and put it next to the chimney, but I wasn't organized

Cause he would drop them and then sit down and organize them after

You remember you would question him and his ways

And he would only smile and laugh every time...

You feel a tear run down your cheek you swipe it away, and mumble under your breath

You didn't even know what you where saying- all you knew it made you feel better.

"JACK, THE SHOVEL!"

Your dad yelled from the kitchen

"oh right- ON IT!"

You run outside to the shed

You never really liked the shed-

You remember what had happened there, it wasn't The Incident but the Pet Incident it happens all the time-

It's usually only when You, Jack enter after 10PM there would always be a dead animal,

Hell some of your old pets got killed and placed there

You felt a shiver run up your spine, the door of the shed was open-

You doubted that anything would be there

You would remember something you would always here at night it went like

'don't step in the middle' or

'the center don't step there'

or 'stop stop stop stop' ect.

You didn't know why, but you were obedient and didn't step in the middle

Hell you didn't want to at all but that didn't mean your curiosity was sparked every time you heard it

You step in the shed axe in hand

You step around the center

"Never to careful..."
You say under your breath

You get the shovel and quickly scurried out real quick taking the shovel and the your axe and

You kick the shed door shut and locked it and run to your house

You open the door and enter seeing that your family was sitting down and eating

"Hey Jack your just in time!"
