"There was once a world with all five elements present. Fire, Water, Earth, Air, and the most important of them all, Magic. It was paradise, a world without limits. There were magic users and non magic users alike. Everything was at peace. Everything was balanced.
Until the non magical wanted fairness, equality, not getting belittled by their magical counterparts. They too wanted to experience magic. This caused the balance to be broken and war to start.
Hundreds of thousands of people died. Yet, after everything, the magicals won and banished the others to another world much like theirs. A world without magic. A world filled with limits. Erasing their memories of the place they originated from so that not one creature from each world would step foot in the other. The balance should not be disrupted yet again. All possible entrances are closed off to ensure this. As time goes on, this event was forgotten over the years.
Despite this, a group of young magicals managed to stumble upon this other world. Fascinated by a place so similar yet differing from their own, they chose to explore it, finding out quickly that they are not the only supernatural inhabitants roaming around.
That is where our story begins. Isn't this one your favourite story, Aris? Aris? How I wish you could hear me.."
I wake up sweating profusely, the annoying ringing sound from my alarm discomforting my ears. While turning off the noise that the Gods forbade in the afterlife, the faint sound of a heart monitor graced my ears. 'Heart monitor?', I shake my head. Just a figment of my imagination.
Sitting up, I did a quick observation of my room. Dear Gods. It looked like the trapped souls of Tartarus went and had a party here. Thankfully, Hades is keeping them in check so I shouldn't have to worry about that. Nevertheless, my room is a mess. My walk-in closet was opened and clothes were at the foot of the door, unfolded and wrinkled. Spell books and empty potion bottles have fallen from the shelf and layed scattered on the floor. Crumpled paper were overflowing the trash can beside my work desk, where other notes and papers were located.
A sigh escapes my mouth as I snap my fingers. A violet glow apperead on my hand and surrounded the things inside my room, fixing everything in a quick yet elegant way. I smiled at the now clean room and got ready for whatever the day awaits.
Running downstairs with my neon blue backpack filled with necessities, I was about to leave the house until a strict voice called me back. "ARIS AURELIE FIANNA-ALORA!" I froze at the tone of her voice. "Where do you think you're going young lady?", my mother said telepathically. "Out with my friends, mom. I'll be back at around ten." a smile flashed on her face. "Just be safe sweetheart."
I smiled back at her and walked out the door, I close my eyes as I snap my fingers again but this time the violet hue surrounds my body as I teleport to our meeting place. A meadow in the middle of the Enchanted forest.
Once I opened my eyes, I was greeted by tackle-hug by a blonde haired female. "Lucienne!" I giggled as we both fell down. "Aurelie! We've been waiting for you!" her turquoise coloured eyes radiating with happiness. Lucienne got off me and helped me up. From the corner of my eyes, I saw Aiden, a brunette male, got up from his sitting position on the grassy land. I waved at him and he waved back, his aquatic blue eyes were twinkling as he held what seems to be a map. Beside him is Cerys, her amber eyes scanning the said map Aiden is holding.
My Lilac eyes gleamed in excitement as my red hair fluttered in the wind.
"So, where is this portal you guys were talking about?"
