"Are you lost?"

The little girl nodded, she's crying and she obviously doesn't know where she is. She remembered following a multi-colored butterfly who's shining profusely with glitters. She adored it, she wants to touch it but she got lost and noticed that she's so far away from where she was before. The little girl was being consumed by fear until a boy walked towards her and showed concern.

"Do you want to go home now?" The boy is older than her, he could help her.

She does want to go home but she suddenly remember the awful insults her parents were throwing at each other, they were yelling and being really loud, and then suddenly, she heard a deafening sound. It's almost like a gunshot. She was about to go outside when she heard it again. It sounded like thunder but it sounded more real and near. She opened the door and she couldn't explain the emotion she's feeling, it's worse than the fear she felt from the horror movie she watched the other night. She couldn't breathe, and she's having a hard time figuring out her next step. She wanted to scream but it seemed like her voice has gone missing, her heart was beating fast, she feels empty and at the same time, heartbroken but from that moment she knew, she doesn't have a family anymore. There is no more home.

"I don't have a home."

"Well sure you do! What's your name?"

"Estreia," she's shaking badly, her dad shot her mom and her dad shot himself. She doesn't know where to go, after seeing her parents bloody and breathless, she, herself died inside. It's too much for an eleven year-old to handle.

"Your name is beautiful. Like you," the boy smiled at him, she finds it odd that his smile somehow eased her mind. He looks like an angel.

"What's your name?" She asked.

"They call me Lumiere, you're kind'a familiar though, where have I seen you?"

Estreia is sure she haven't seen him before, if she did, she'd surely remember.

"How old are you?" She asked again.

"Hmm well, there's no concept of time here, but in your world. I think I'm about to be 19 when I left."

"Left?"

"I'm going to tell you all about it by the time I meet you for real, okay?"

"I don't understand."

"Estreia, you keep on coming back to this awful memory. It's not your fault, you can't hold on to that. It's going to kill you, you have to let go."

"I don't have a family anymore. I don't have a home. My mommy is gone, papa killed her maybe it's because I'm too stubborn, that's why Papa Jesus took them from me. Can you talk to Him? Tell him I'm gonna be a good child from now on, just please, please I need mommy and papa back! Please help me Lumiere!"

He smiled and touched the little girl's cheeks. He wiped her tears, "It doesn't work that way little star but do you want to know what I do?"

"W-What do you do?" The little girl is still sobbing.

"I catch dreams. I make sure that each and every person who sleeps, will have a good dream. I battle the bearer of nightmares and I keep the dreamers safe. I have a lot to explain to you but you're too young to understand. All you need to know is you opened a doorway through this nightmare so before it's too late we have to close it, and you're gonna help me with it."

"Y-You're a dream catcher?" The boy nodded looking intently at her eyes. She remembered the thing that her papa gave to her, it's a beautiful decor, it is detailed with colorful feathers and he called it a dream catcher.

"Will you help me?" he asked.

"I will," although she's scared, she doesn't want to keep going back on the memory. It's torturing her over and over again.

"First, I need to meet the real you, outside of this memory."

"How?" she's confused but she can still comprehend.

"My domain encompasses only dreams not memories, I can go inside the dream but not memories. You have to let me in. I have to be in that memory, so that I can manipulate and use it as a medium to communicate and summon your real life state. We'll warp that bad dream a bit but it's only temporary because if the doorway remains open, you'll always find your way in.

Are you ready?"

"I'm scared," she admitted

"Don't be, I'll be here to protect you little star."
