The clock chimed. Midnight.
Jasmine peered at Jesse, she looked just as nervous as her. Crouching in the bush Jasmine could feel her heart beating.

This was it.

Jasmine had been waiting for this moment for the last twelve years. Now that moment had come. Jesse bit her lip. Their only way out was right through the field, but it was guarded heavily. Soldiers stood at every corner, their chances of escape were slim.
"Wait for the signal"  Said Jasmine. Jesse nodded slightly. Jesse wished that she was back in her bed, but there was no turning back now. They had got so far. To go back would mean months of work would be pointless.

Then she heard it. A huge explosion just over the other side of the building, smoke rose from the north tower. With a cry from the commander, the soldiers left their posts and headed to where the sound came from.

Jasmine sprung to her feet, Jesse quickly followed. They sprinted across the field, staying in the shadows. They heard a mixture of yells. From around the corner, they saw the outlines of the soldiers returning to their post. Jesse panicked. She stopped running
They were about to get caught.
Jasmine didn't stop, she was still running across the field. She stopped in the middle. She swiftly turned around.
"Are you coming? Or am I going to leave without you?" She sneered. Jasmine didn't wait for an answer and continued running again. Jesse kept looking between Jasmine and the prison-like building which they had come from. She sighed. She could hear the shouts and yells from the soldiers growing louder. She followed Jasmine into the darkness.
