I - Lauren and Tae

A/N: Everything unfolds during flashbacks

"Can you remind me why we need to go to Korea in such super short notice?" A gorgeous and attractive girl brushed up her imaginary bangs as she wiped her sweat from her exposed forehead.

"Damn, why do you always brush up your hair as if you have bangs? You dont have one, Lauren." You no longer have one after that accident, a gallant young man with smooth jet black hair softly whispered the last words.

"Aish, shut up and just answer my question Tae."

"Okay. Well, my cousin's getting engaged. I just told you that yesterday, you didn't write that part on your diary?" The handsome young man stared at the girl waiting for her answer.

"Oops, uhh, I guess I didn't? I didn't mention any engagement party on my diary. Maybe I didn't think you were serious when you mentioned it to me so I didn't feel the need to remember the next day." The girl playfully responds and chuckles as she finally closed her luggage then straightened. "Okay! I'm ready to go!" She sent a thumbs up to the man called Tae.

"Lauren, how many times do I have to say this? You should always write everything that happened to you everyday. You never know when someone might take advantage of your condition."

"Alright, alright! I promise! You don't have to remind me of my weird condition. Lets go back to your cousin. Are you two close? You dont seem to want to miss this engagement party." The girl went closer to the guy and put her hands together below her chin.

"Hmmm. We were close when we were younger, its just that I got so busy with my work here in Spain that's why we didnt get to talk much now. Although we have met when I visited Korea 4 years ago, after that we lost contact again. My mom just told me she's getting engaged, that's why we're going to crash her party!" The guy grinned at the thought of crashing somebody's engagement party.

"Are you insane Tae?! So we're going to leave our work here just to crash your cousin's engagement party?" The girl couldn't believe what the guy said and just palmed her hand to her face.

The playful smile never left the guy's perfect face though. "Yup, because I wanted to meet her fiancé too."

Upon hearing his reply, the girl's jaw dropped in an instant. "Excuse me, what? Can you repeat what you just said?"

"I want to meet her fiancé too. Why? What's wrong with that?"

"So your cousin's gay?"

"Well, she wasn't.. until 4 years ago. I dont want to talk about it because I dont really know the details. But I heard she fell in love with a girl who made her realize and accept her sexuality. Unfortunately, when she did, it was too late so they didn't end up together. The girl went missing after." The guy turned silent afterwards.

The girl, on the other hand, was stunned. She didn't know why but the story seemed to tug at her heartstrings, making her heart ache for the girl that was left behind.

"So, her fiancé now is.. someone she met after her first gay love?"

Taehyung laughed at the term "gay love" but he answered her question, nonetheless. "This sounds like it only happens in fanfictions, but guess what she's marrying her fansite master."

Fansite master? The term lingered on the girl's mind.

"What's a fansite master, Tae?"

"Oh, fansite masters are people who dedicate themselves to their idols. I havent mentioned my cousin is an idol in Korea, have I? She's very famous there."

"Wow, so basically her fiancé was her fan?" The girl muttered in amazement.

"Yup! That fansite master must have hit the jackpot when she stayed with my cousin during her most vulnerable state."

"That's sly. She took advantage of her when she was at her lowest." The blonde girl without bangs said with distaste.

"You have a point, Ren. But at least my cousin's happy now, right?"

"Well, I hope she really is. What if she hasn't moved on yet with her first love? The girl went missing, you said. What if she comes back to her life? Will something change?"

The guy thought about what she said and turned silent once again. "I dont know, Lauren. I hope that doesn't happen. I dont want my cousin to be in a tough situation."

"Yeah, you're right. Sorry for saying that. By the way, what's your cousin's name?"

"My cousin? Oh, her name's Jennie. Jennie Kim."

This time, its the girl's turn to be silent. She was sure she never heard the name before, or maybe she had but didn't write it on her diary that's why she can't remember. But the name Jennie Kim seem to give her a warm feeling she couldn't explain.
