Aquarius skulked around the dimly lit hall, her brown hair was in a half up, half down style and her staff was tucked diagonally behind her back. Her windbreaker was crinkling against her porcelain skin and she felt the breeze tickle her back in the abandoned subway. She felt a presence behind her, causing her to whip around violently, with that she felt a cold blade on her neck

''I see how you want this to go,'' she snickered, without turning ''are you sure you're ready to play with fire?"

"You bet, girly" The voice behind her was that of a man's, his voice was husky and deep and she felt no remorse for what she was about to do.

She whipped her staff away from her back and snapped at his knees, he had a broad sword, as if it were the year 1619, he blocked her swift attack and she fumbled with her staff slightly and held it like a baseball bat before blundering him with a blow to his head, pushing him over slightly, he was agile and got up fast. He came near to decapitating her but she blocked it by clashing her staff vertically with his horizontal attack, getting used to using it after a day or so. Still holding her staff in place, she jumped up, did a half flip and kicked his neck in midair, bringing the staff underneath her and knocking the air out of him by smashing his gut once she landed leaving her in a squatting position, all in one easy movement. He was on the ground and coughing up blood. The man tried to get up but the petite girl simply pressed her staff down into his chest, restricting his air flow. He was gasping for air, and slapped the staff away from his body, causing his chest to scrape. He bounded up, his sword on the ground, trying to throw punches at her but she only blocked with her powerful staff with a small grunt with each block. After 6 failed blows at the girl, he kicked her thigh, sending her down. He thought he had her down for good and went to grab his sword while she caught her breath. She had a plan, but she didn't know if would work or not.
"What does a guy like me have to do to get his dick wet in a post apocalyptic world?" he taunted while scraping his sword on the concrete of the metro station "Apparently, it's almost killing a girl."
Aquarius lay there, pretending to be defeated and as the man prodded her with the sword, she did a front flip and kicked him right in the nose. He stumbled back slightly and cursed under his breath, she continued to skillfully attack him with her staff which he tiredly failed to block and he fell to the ground unconscious.

"Glad that those gymnastics classes paid off" she scoffed as she started to raid the man's jacket. She found money, weaponry, food and shoved everything in her satchel, buttoning it and running back to her base when a hand grabbed her shoulder. She was just about ready to punch the culprit before relaxing after seeing pisces' face.
"I couldn't save you, I'm sorry.'' He muttered
"No need," she smiled and kissed him on the cheek "I was fine anyways"
"But what if you weren't," he said warily "god, I'm a bad boyfriend"
"You're amazing" she chuckled, wiping some blood off of her hand
He wrapped his arm around her as they walked back trying to avoid trouble.

"What the hell!" Taurus cried "You went out, alone?
"Well yeah," Aquarius started "it's called learning how to survive on your own"
"Aqua, I get it" Taurus stopped pacing "you're old enough to be on your own but you're still the youngest out of the four of us and I worry so damn much about all of you"
"No Taur," Aquarius said sympathetically "I'm sorry, it won't happen again"
"Thanks Quari," Taurus pulled the girl into a hug "I'll try not to worry too much"
After the awkward exchange, Aquarius made her way up the ladder to her and pisces' room. Their entire structure was an old train station, with small cylinders in the walls that counted as rooms. They had a rope ladder on each room incase of flood, and a plastic cover that would pull over the entrance just incase of some disaster. The rooms had 2 small duvets, with just enough room for 2 people and no mattress. If they found a mattress then they were in luck but for the time being, they were happy with their bunker. There were two rooms below each room opposite to each other for weaponry and supplies. The middle area was simply a way of transporting from either room to another. Pisces was already in their room, hanging up his trident before engulfing the girl in a hug.
"I'm always so worried about you" she said, nuzzling her head into the crook of his neck
All he could do was smile and hold her tighter.

"Sagi?" Taurus chirped "That girl better not be out, I swear to god-"
"Hey Taur," Sagittarius replied, sitting in the middle of the armoury "what's up?"
"Just worried sick about everyone," she said using her rope to climb up to her room, sagittarius following suit but using the ladder "I'm happy you're safe"
"Just as I'm elated you're doing good" Sagittarius beamed, most people would assume her to be dumb but she was actually very intelligent and smart, but the only thing is that she was gullible
"Sag, I don't know what I'd do without you," Taurus huffed, heaving herself onto the platform "you make life easier"
"I'm glad." the black haired girl responded, closing the plastic door behind the two girls.

"Obviously," Aquarius started throwing her fist into a peace sign behind her back "I am the greatest"

"Is that so?" the male said keeping his hand flat behind his back''

"Rock, paper, scissors SHOOT!" the pair yelled in unison as pisces fell onto their bed in defeat and Aquarius heaved herself down off of the cylindrical room.

"Quari?" Taurus' voice echoed throughout the hall "Come with me"

"I'm here, Taur," The petite brunette said "where are we going?"

"Scavenging," Taurus explained "it's been a while and we're running low on food."

"Sounds like a plan" and with that, the two girls were off to a hopefully successful adventure, but as we all know success doesn't grow in misery.
