*the next day, at school*

I head to class for last, this is gonna be very embarrassing
"Maya?" I hear Huckleberry ask, I hate it but I'll have to let him down for down
"Lollipops, and circuses, and things that rhyme with that"
"No! This is your solution, Maya?" Well, now that I'm Riley I could take advantage of the situation "Hi" I say shyly. I just wanna know how it feels exchanging a few words with him as my best friend knowing that he likes her
"Hey" he says sweetly. It feels...nice. I don't know what else I should say
"Hi" he frowns
"No!" we sit down
"Please be back to normal. Please be back to normal" Mr. Matthews whispers as he walks in
"What's up, hambone?"
"Don't worry, daddy. I'm going to fix everybody right up" he screams and I can't help but giggle, wait, I never giggle
"All right, you know what? It's Lucas time" He stands up
"You're the best Farkle we got, and everyone knows it. And you are a complete ray of sunshine" he looks at me in my eyes, right into my soul and I let him crush all of my walls and let him see who's the real me. He now looks a bit hesitant
"And you are not. And that's who we are. I don't know what this is. But I do know that if you let someone say who you are, then you really won't be who you are, and you certainly won't end up being who you were meant to be"
"If you end this with Iceland or Greenland, I'll give you an A on the report right now. Because you are the only one in here I recognize" Okay, I better calm the cowboy before he freaks out
"Don't worry. I'm not gonna stay Riley. I know how much everybody would miss me if I did"
"No, no, stay Riley" What?
"Yeah, you're a good Riley"
"Wait. You like us all like this?"
"We like Riley. We don't care who plays her" Are they serious?
"What about Maya?" I ask Riley
"Nothing we do matters" Right, she's me now
"Maya, you're the most secure person in this room. You have a great life. Why would you change? I mean, okay, not great life. I mean, your family life could be, you know, better" Wrong choice of words Huckleberry, I'm gonna kick your ass as soon as I get back to my old self
"But at least at school, you're, uh... you're here a lot. Right?" I slightly nod
"Little help, please. Donnie Barnes?"
"I think people should be the best person they can be" Maybe they're right
"I agree. Riley Matthews is the best person I can be. Maya is gone, and you're never gonna see her again" I open my textbook
"La la la la la la World peace. And bunnies!"
"All right, you all say I'm most likely to be okay with anything. Well, I'm not okay with any of this. I'm not okay with all you guys not realizing that what you say about people matters. And I'm not okay with you guys thinking what people say about you matters" Woah, he looked mad, really mad
"You know what happened after everybody went to Greenland because someone told them to? Donnie?"
"Riley?" he asks me. No way, I'm still not smart
"Black swan?"
"They all died"
"Yep"
"What? Really?"
"Really. They came to an inhospitable, uninhabited ice ball named Greenland because someone said it was pretty, and the first thing they did was die. So please remember, you shouldn't pay attention to what everybody says. Because if you listen to everybody else, you just might end up crashing your little ships onto the rocks"
"But you should listen to the people who care about you. Because they have your best interest at heart. Right, buddy? You're much more than just a regular guy" I aw at Lucas
"Aw, Lucas, you're a very sweet guy. That's why I always liked you since I fell into your lap on the subway. It's why we should have been favorite couple, because we're so much alike. You know, it's like we're two sunshine-y people from the same sunshine-y family. That's why I like you so much. It's like you're my brother!" what? My smile falls
"Oh. It's like he's your..."
"What?"
"Whoa" they are like brother and sister. Maybe, just maybe there's still hope for me to go out with him someday
"What just happened?" I take off my wig
"Uh, nothing. Nothing happened. I don't wanna be Riley anymore" I can't live in a world where Lucas is my brother, I just can't
"Only you're Riley. I'm Maya. We don't care what you say. We're not crashing our ships. Come back. Come back right now!" the bell rings, meaning that the class is over, unlike this  problem. After school I visit Riley. I have to fix this! When I'm inside her room I take off all of the curtains
"Wow. There is a lot of light in this world"
"If you let it in, yeah. You know who taught me that?"
"Me" she says in a whisper
"The real you, yeah. We need you back, Riley. If you wanna listen to what people say, listen to the right people. Listen to me. I'm Maya" she smiles, finally! I can't help but smile back
"Maya"
"Yeah, sunshine?"
"Your mom told you that you might find out a secret about me. Did you find anything out about me that maybe you should tell me?" I hesitate, should I tell her? No, I cannot
"No"
"Did the bunny and the puppy really kiss?" I nod
"Absolutely, Riley, they did"
"But I know that the pony didn't actually talk" I shrug
"I can't keep anything from you" I hate lying to her but I gotta protect her
"That's because I'm a smarty-pants"
"Yes, you are" we hug
"Can you please fix everything now?" she lays her head on my shoulder
"There it is"
"So, are you two back to normal?" Elliot asks as he comes in
"Yes we are"
"How was playing Riley?"
"I got to meet a wonderful world that I hope to never see again" he slightly laughs
"What about you, Riley? How was playing Maya?"
"A nightmare, everything was dark and scary" Okay, my world is not scary, is just realistic.
Oh, you may be wondering about Farkle. Well, you only need to know that he's growing up and that some changes are happening right now, he's still our best friend though, he'll always be.
