I unlocked the front door to the little house that now belonged to me and Sam.

Sam and I say quietly on the sofa, not saying a word but feeling each others pain.

"I can't believe she's gone." Sobbed Sam.

"Me too Sammy. But we'll pull through ok. We're going to go live with dad, hopefully he's nice. Things will get better." I told Sam not only to convince him but myself.

Later that night I ordered pizza for me and Sam to eat while we packed our stuff into suitcases.

I looked around my room and started piling my clothes into a suitcase.

I put skinny jeans on one side of the case and my t shirts and hoodies on the other side before zipping it shut, with some difficulty, and starting the next one.

Within a few hours Sam and I had packed everything.

We each took a few special items to remind us of mum.

Sam and I slept on the couch, it was too hard to go upstairs, the memories, mums room..

"Night Sammy." I whispered to my sleeping brother.

The next morning I woke Sam up at about 8ish.

The child service dude was coming at 10 so I wanted to be ready.

After we'd had breakfast and showered and whatnot it was 9:45.

Sam and I sat on the couch with our suitcases underneath us while impatiently waiting for the child service guy.

At exactly 10am the guy from child services rang our doorbell.

Sam and I went outside and introduced ourselves.

"I'm Skye and this is my brother Sam." I told him.

"Ok. Cool. I'm Luke. It's nice to meet you and all but we gotta get the the airport." Luke explained.

"Oh yeah. Ok." I muttered climbing into the car.

The ride to the airport was silent because Luke couldn't tell us anything about our dad. This was really starting to piss me off.

After we got to to the airport and checked in and went through security and stuff, it was time to board our flight.

Sam and I waved goodbye to Luke and our home town and we climbed onto the plane. I have to admit I was pretty sad to be leaving.

The flight was long and boring, Sam didn't say much, he slept basically the whole flight. I just closed my eyes and listened to music.

Soon the flight attendant came out to tell us that we would be landing soon.

After Sam and I got off the plane I grabbed Sam's arm so I didn't lose him and began looking for a guy with an Armstrong sign.

After a while we found him.

"Are you two Skye and Sam?" He asked us.

I nodded, "Yeah."

"Ok. I'm Dave. Follow me." Said Dave.

I looked at Sam and he just shrugged at me.

We followed Dave to get our luggage then out of the airport.

I saw a limo waiting for us. God how much money does my dad have?!

Sam and I clambered into the limo while Dave put our luggage in the boot.

I flopped down on the cool leather seat and looked around.

Suddenly I realized there was someone else in the car!

The guy turned around and I swear I swallowed my tongue.

Mike Dirnt.

The fucking Mike Dirnt from Green Day.

"So Dave is this them?" He asked Dave.

"Yeah. How the hell did you even get here?" Asked Dave.

"Ooh. And I got Matthew to drop me off." Explained Mike.

Suddenly Mike turned to me and Sam.

"So you're-" He got cut off by Dave yelling.

"MIKE THEY DON'T KNOW SO DON'T TELL THEM!" He screamed.

"Hah. Whoops. Sorry." He laughed.

"We don't know what?" I asked.

"Can't tell you sweetheart. Your dad will kill me." Mike said.

"Mhm." Mumbled Dave.

"For gods sake someone tell me already!" I cried getting pissed off.

"She's feisty. Just like him." Mike laughed.

I frowned and crossed my arms over my chest.

"Aw I'm sorry." He said.

"Why are you here?" I asked him.

"I'm friends with your dad." He said.

"Oh." I said simply.

My dad must be pretty rich if he can afford all this AND he knows Mike Dirnt..

Maybe my dad WAS Billie Joe Armstrong.. I thought.

No, don't be stupid, as if that would happen. I told myself.

After a few minutes we pulled up outside a massive, beautiful house.

The black iron gates moved silently to let us in as Sam and I looked around at the giant house.

We both looked at each other with wide eyes, my dad is so loaded.

Dave pulled into the driveway and opened the door for us.

I got out and stood on the path while Dave got our stuff.

I was suddenly nervous. What if my dad didn't like us? What if we didn't like him? What if he abandons us again?

"Skye." Sam nudged me to signal we were going inside.

I nodded and followed Sam, Dave and Mike up the path.

I gulped as Dave rapped his knuckles on the heavy oak door.

I could hear footsteps coming closer, each on precisely timed. The anxiety almost killed me.

Suddenly the door opened and I swear I almost fainted.

Billie Joe Armstrong stood in the doorway.

What. The. Actual. Fuck.

"So this is them?" He asked Dave gleefully.

"Yeah. This is them." He said.

Billie grinned at us.

I managed a weak smile back at him, Sam just kind of stood there shell shocked.

"Mike? What the hell are you doing here?" Asked Billie sounding amused.

"Eh, wanted to meet the two little squirts." He joked.

"Oh ok... You didn't tell them anything did you?" Asked Billie, ignoring me and Sam.

"Nah." Said Mike turning to leave.

Billie waved to Mike as he climbed into the car waiting for Dave.

"Dave you didn't say anything did you?" Asked Billie.

"No." Answered Dave.

"Good. Well I think someone's waiting for you." Billie said laughing at Mike who was impatiently beeping the horn.

"So are you.." Sam asked quietly.

"Yeah, yeah I'm your dad." Said Billie.

"Oh. Uh cool." Sam mumbled.

"Yeah. Come on, come inside and meet everyone." He said grinning.

I sighed and followed him inside, smiling at him as he took our stuff.

For some reason I had a weird feeling about this.
