Jayde's POV
I close one eye and focus on my target. I steady myself and squeeze the trigger feeling the gun's powerful kick. I blink and see my target on the ground. A man who wronged my family. Something that you never want to do. I slide my glock back into my holster tucked away in the waistband of my jeans. I pull out my phone and dial the number for our cleanup crew. A few guys who know to much in the art of making bodies disappear. I give them my location and head back to where I parked my car, my black Range Rover paid for by my father, the head of the Stone Cartel. One of the most notorious groups in the country and the one that runs through all of Los Angeles.
After a little bit of a drive I arrive at 'The Compound' a big nondescript building in the heart of the warehouse district of downtown LA that is more than what it appears to be. I pull up to a gate and punch in a code that makes the massive steel gate open. I pull through a garage door to another keypad where I put in a code only I have and the garage door closes and my car is lowered into an underground parking garage that has a maze of halls and rooms that branch off. The way that the Stone Cartel is so successful is that we stay underground and off the grid. My name is Jayde Stone. I go by Jay. My father is the leader of the cartel and I am next in line to take over. I live in a penthouse in Hollywood and have a best friend who lives next door. His name is Sam. He knows about the family business because his father works for mine but he is trying his best to stay out of it, a luxury I don't have.
