Prologue

      "...And that's why we shouldn't bring guns to class," Theo finished, giving a shy smile and rushing back to his seat.
    The presentation idea was simple; the students were asked to write a paragraph on a debatable topic involving school they felt strongly about.
Enter Casey.
    Casey moved to the front of the room, feeling every single eye follow him. His lanky arms were held awkwardly at his sides, his breathing shaky and uncoordinated.
He took a deep breath.
    "Dissecting animals is a classic science topic, and very necessary for any student's education. Not only is it fun, but we get to learn how the biology of that animal works. We get to see their organs, their guts, everything. I feel that is an important learning experience for anyone."
    The room was silent.
    "What a fascinating topic, Casey." Beamed Ms. Calhoun, grinning and clapping. Casey took a bow and took his seat at the back of the class.
