It all started with a lie

The first day of school pt. 1

That's gonna look great on my first day. He walked out and I held my cheek with the cut on it. Ruben was standing at the front door waiting for me.

R(Ruben): ¿Estas bien? (You ok?)

I: Solo vamonos. Sunny nos está esperando (Let's just go. Sunny's waiting for us)

He nodded his head and we went to his car. I know what your thinking "Wow your overprotective brother just sits there and does nothing?" Well that's because I told him to. I don't want him to get hurt so I tell him to just stay back. I got in the passengers side and we drove to school. We stopped by Dunkin Donuts so I could eat something. Ruben just dropped me off because he's sick so he can't be here.

Erika's POV

I woke up this morning ready to go to school. I went downstairs and asked our chef to make cinnamon rolls for me and JC. I went to JC's room and opened the door.

E(Erika): Wake up, Loser! Chef Joe is making cinnamon rolls

JC: Ok damn

I chucked and walked out. I went to my room to shower. I just put something simple on

Then I went back downstairs with JC. We raced to the kitchen for breakfast. Something that we do every morning when he's home from college. My mom and Dan aren't here. Normally they're working in the mornings and can't make is breakfast. That's why we have a chef. Also because me and JC can't cook. Last time we tried, we almost burned the house down. Don't ask how. After we ate we left for school.

When we got there I hugged JC and he drove back home. I walked into the school and went to my locker where the squad was. I hugged all of them and we talked for a while then a boy and Sunny walked to the lockers across from ours.

C(Chance): *hits Jake's chest* Lookie here. We got fresh meat

Everyone: *laughs*

CT(Chad): Yo, isn't that Ivan Martinez? That kid that raped a girl and almost beat her to death?

RG(Rocky): That is him

J(Jake): Wasn't he also responsible for his brothers death?

Oh shit. Its about to go down.

Ivan's POV

We got to the school and went to the front office. There was a lady there and she said something but I didn't understand her. Just then Sunny and some other guy came in.

S(Sunny): Ivan!

I: Sunny!

I picked her up and hugged her then she started talking to the lady and that other guy she walked in with. I have absolutely no clue what their saying. Sunny signaled for me to follow her so I did. The guy she is with is her friend Ray. He speaks Spanish and he's gonna help Ruben throughout his classes when he gets here. Sunny is gonna do the same thing for me. She's just gonna translate what's being said to me and what I'm saying.

S: ¿Donde esta emilio? (Where's Emilio?)

The second she said that my eyes started to water and I felt a sharp pain in my chest. We got separated at a very young age so she doesn't know about Emilio's death. A tear fell down my face. I just replied with "I don't wanna talk about it". She nodded and we walked down the hallways and we got to my locker. There were a group of people giving me a death glare, 4 boys and 4 girls. One of them was looking at me normally. She's really beautiful. Her hair color and eye color are amazing. I gulped because the boys scare me.

Sunny showed me the combination to my locker then we went to class. I realized that group of kids were following us. I ignored it because I thought they had the same class. Sunny told me to stand outside the door and she would be right back. Ray went to his class. The kids started to make their way to me. They introduced themselves.

C: Look kid, if you fuck with us we'll make your life a living hell. Ok?

I didn't really know what he said so I just nodded my head

J: What? You don't speak?

TB(Tessa): What's wrong with your face?

She went to touch my face where the cut was and I jerked my head back

T(Tony): Yeah little bitch. What happened

I didn't respond and Chance grabbed my shirt, threw me to the ground, and got on top of me.

C: HE SAID WHAT HAPPENED

I: No te entiendo! (I don't understand you)

C: *stands up* Oh, I see. The freak doesn't speak English

E: Babe, give the kid a break. He just got here

C: Whatever

They walked off and I got up. I can already tell this year is gonna suck. Sunny came back and asked me what's wrong but I just said it was nothing. She showed me to my class. I have 4 classes with Sunny and 4 classes without Sunny. For now at least. Sunny is in a lower grade than me so after a week or 2 of me being here she has to go back to her grade. Well, time to have a shitty school year.
