A/N: Due to me being a slow writer, I decided to divide this story into two parts. I didn't want to leave it till too long otherwise it wouldn't be uploaded in time for the #UnlimitedPride donation. Hopefully, this qualifies well enough, and you can expect an update in the future.

• Part One: Early Bird Gets The Worm •

Addison James Castillo was a lot of things, but an early bird wasn't one of them. Honestly, it was shocking enough already that he hadn't fallen asleep in his coffee, let alone being awake at such an ungodly time.

"Why did I agree to come with you two?" he mumbled around his paper coffee cup. The sounds of the shop comforting to his ears as the early staff and customers buzzed around him, quietly chatting to each other in groggy voices, which wasn't surprising in the slightest, it was six o'clock - or in Addie's opinion - too early o'clock. Even the abrupt sounds of the coffee maker coming alive couldn't get him to shake the sleep from his mind.

"Because we're your best friends, and we've come to the conclusion that it's about time you found yourself a date." Bree beamed, which Addie thought should be impossible at such an hour, but Bree had proven more impossible things doable so he shouldn't really be surprised. Her girlfriend, Andrea nodded quietly in agreement. Her hand was intertwined with Bree's, and although Addie would never openly admit it – to prevent boasting the two's egos – the two were adorable together, they were each other's opposites, Bree was one of the most boisterous, loud, extroverted people that Addie had ever met, while Andrea was extremely quiet, avoided social events like that black plague and would prefer to sit at home reading the latest copy of her favourite book series than go out for a night on the town like her girlfriend. In all honestly, it was kind of surprising that the two worked together so well, but who was he to question it.

He hadn't had a date in months unless you count that one time he accidentally split his coffee over his flatmate Simon's shirt and out of guilt took him out to dinner as an apology. But Simon was straight and had an amazing girlfriend called Linsey. So that didn't count in his books.

"Couldn't this have waited till later? You know, when I'm actually awake." He dragged a hand down his face and sighed in desperation. Watching as Bree gave him a look of her own.

"If I'd waited until you were awake, we'd have to wait until three in the afternoon."

      "Your point being..?"

"My point is, it's about time you found someone other than us two to look out for you." She gave one look at Addie's ratty sweater and greasy, unkempt, black hair and raised a perfectly pedicured eyebrow, oh yeah, she was definitely judging him. "Do you have any other clothing apart from those rags you call clothes?"

"For your information, these are my pyjamas; you didn't exactly give me a warning before you broke into my apartment at this ungodly hour and dragged me out of my bed. I was comfy."

"Did we really break in if you gave us a key?" Andrea spoke for the first time that morning, making Addison gasp and throw a hand over his heart in an act of mocked betrayal. Stifling a giggle from the shy, blonde girl,

"I'd expect this kind of betrayal from Bree, but you of all the people? I'm wounded."

Bree laughed along with the two of them for a short while before giving him, her 'no nonsense' face, a race facial expression for the brunette.

"Okay, okay. Jokes aside, we really did bring you out here because we're going to get you a date."

"Ugh, this again? You do remember what happened last time, right?" A shudder coarsed through the three seated at the coffee shop booth. It was pretty hard to forget Addies last date, the man brought a mirror wherever he went, checking himself out with his "famous smoulder" as he'd put it.

It wasn't like he was rude per se, just far too obsessed with himself for his own good. It was a sight for everyone involved. Bree banged her forehead against the counter groaning, waving a hand at Andrea when she asked if she was okay.

"You make one mistake and suddenly you can't be trusted. Anyway, meet us back here tomorrow at eleven." She finished her drink and placed it back on the tray for the employee's to collect.

      Addison raised an eyebrow, judgingly.

"What? So you can throw me into another blind date? No thanks." He crossed his arms over his chest and huffed, looking like a toddler who'd just been told 'no'

Bree and Andrea shared a look before Bree sighed, picking up her handbag and phone from the counter.

"Just trust me, if it doesn't work, I won't bother you anymore."

      "Promise?" Addie asked.

"Promise." And with that, the girls left him. Addie sat quietly at the booth, downing what was left of his coffee before heading home for some well deserved sleep.
