Carnival Investigation

You laid down on your bed, watching TV. It was around 9 pm when you heard a knock at your door. You threw yourself up to open your bedroom door to your mom, she was all fancied up in her usual blue dress. "Where are you going? Another Tinder date?" You asked, your mom smiled and kiss your head, "Trust me, I made sure this one knows I have a little moody 17 year old!" Your mom pinched your cheeks, just like your aunt used to do. This made you smile, yet soon knocking your mother's hands away. "Bye sweetie, if I'm out late make yourself a hot pocket.. or order something. I'll leave some money on the counter!" Your mom trailed off, you heard the front door open then close. After the car left the street you jumped onto your bed, grab your phone off the bedside table.

Y/N: "Mom left, y'all still up for the carnival search?"

Miya (me-yah): "Yah, sounds lit."

Angie: "I'm up for it, Caden?"

Caden: "I'll be there in.. 30 minutes."

You jumped up, throwing off the yoga pants to change into some jeans, your favorite band shirt, and a hoodie, throwing on some shoes of course. You grabbed a Polaroid camera and went outside to wait for your friends. Minutes later, you heard the music start to play as the car rolled around, you got in and your friends started to drive off. It took hours to find it but you did.. Charlie Lincoln Carnival  "Why would someone throw away a place like this?" You asked mainly to yourself looking out the window. As your friends got out one by one they all admired the run-down looking sign The "L" in Lincoln was nowhere to be found, the whole word "Carnival" was missing too, the friend group looked at the fences. "Hey Y/N, why don't you hop over the fence and open it?" Caden pushed you in front of the fences. "Why me??" You asked, annoyed and half scared, everyone looked at each other and shrugged. "Uh.. cause you're like super good at climbing stuff? Don't you have like, a rock climbing thing in your back yard?" Miya asked, chewing some gum. You knew they were right, so you handed off your camera to Angie "Take a picture of me while I'm up!"  You smiled and took a deep breathe as you proceeded to jump onto the fence climbing on it, your friends cheered you on as you threw yourself over the other side. You got up slowly, probably because jumping down and landing on your back wasn't the best. You ran over to the customer service booth and opened the gates, your friends cheered you on as they walked into the abandoned carnival. "Do you think the snacks are still good?" Angie asked looking at the cotton candy cart, "Only one way to find out!" Caden laughed, we all shook our heads. It felt like some laugh track was about to play when Caden began to puke up the rotten candy, You smiled and headed towards the carnival tent maybe you would find some animal bones or a whip... 

"Why would you need a whip?" Miya laughed, you must have spaced out because you were in another part of the tent, maybe Angie dragged you there? Anyways, Caden was holding a whip "Why not?" he laughed, his blue eyes sparkled like he enjoyed the sound the whip made when it hit a crate. "Is he crazy?" You thought, "Then again.. he always was a little... different." You shake your head you and your friends joked around more making bond fires and getting marshmallows, and just being teens. Surprisingly, it was only just getting dark. Your friend group split up to explore more, while you were walking you must have tripped and hit your head or maybe just passed out because everything with black.
