Ever since I was born, I had a mark on my hip. A soulmate mark actually. A very rare mark that contains the first sentence your soulmate will say to you.
Mine had said, "Nice hair, where'd you buy the dye?"
As a kid I thought I would never dye my hair. But here I am, about to walk into the college doors, with blue hair. I was pursuing acting, with only one class on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
My phone had buzzed, I was right outside the doors of the place that would help me become a famous actor. My best friend had texted, Alice. She had been with me through thick and thin.
"Hey girlie! Good luck on your first day! (seriously tho, DON'T BE AN IDIOT)" - ﹰAlice
I laughed.
"Ok bitz, see ya later!"- (Y/N)
":')" - Alice
I put my phone in my back pocket and walked in. People, people everywhere. Also, did I mention I have social anxiety?
I sighed and looked for class 282, a drama/acting class for the actors and actresses. I eventually found it and walked in. Everyone looked at me.
"Ugh, is that the last one?" A girl said.
"The teacher didn't mention we were getting an emo! Haha!" The boy said next to her.
"(Y/N) right? Sit down next to... Tom."
I looked around and saw A boy waving. I walked and sat down next to him.
"Ok, today I will give you all scripts ! We are going to perform a class play. A lesbian love story, but don't worry! It's just acting! If the play is good enough, we will perform for the school!" He started passing out scripts. Tom looked over at me.
"Ok first of all, the hair, the shirt, the shoes, living for it!" He said.
"Are you gay?..." I asked immediately regretting it.
"Bitch how'd you know? Also, I call people I like bitch!" He smirked.
I smiled back before the teacher handed Tom and I a script. I looked over it. Being the closeted lesbian I am, I loved the idea of kissing another girl, or maybe I'm just lonely.
Alice was the only girl that knew my secret, and she swore she would never tell a soul.
"I mean, I'm not a girl so I can't audition for the main role, you should!" Tom whispered to me.
"What? I mean, I could, but I would be too scared.." I replied.
"(Y/N) right?" Tom asked. I nodded.
"Well, (Y/N), just sing Act 1, Song 2. Trust me!" Tom said.
"Fine, TOM! But if I fail I'm expecting a coffee!" I replied.
"And if you get the part, I'm expecting a coffee!" He sassily remarked. I laughed.
"Ok, anyone wanna audition? Oh, and my name is Mr. Jacob! Call me that!" Our teacher said.
I sighed and held up my hand, and so did a girl behind me, and one in front of me.
"(Y/N)! You first!" Mr. Jacob said.
I gasped. I walked *very slowly* down the stairs, all the way down to the stage. I went on the X in the middle and took a breath.
"She walks like she owns the place, when your around her you can't keep a straight face. She has the cute blue eyes and quirky grin. She looks at me and what she doesn't know is..." Mr. Jacob stopped me. Tom screamed and clapped the loudest. Two other girls clapped, they looked nice. I walked back to my seat.
"You did great! I loved it!" Tom said.
"Aw thank you, I don't think I did to good though." I sighed. Tom chuckled.
The rest of class flew by, and before I knew it, it was 11 30 AM. Everyone left. I went into the middle row and bumped into one of the girls that clapped for me. Her bag fell, and a charger that was in it. I grabbed them and gave them back to her.
But what came out of her mouth, surprised me more than a thank you.
"Nice hair, where'd you buy the dye?"...
