The Capture

Chapter 1

I looked out the window as we drove out of town. I'm Amy and this is my story. While me and Mom were on the highway, Mom told me that I;m going to meet with someone in Oshawa. She also told me that I'm gonna go somewhere with this person. That's why I have my duffel bag. About an hour and a half later, I'm at the place saying goodbye to Mom"This place is so cool" I said. Inside the place was completely white.The floor, the ceiling, and there is a chandelier with diamonds on it hanging from the ceiling. "Goodbye Mom" I said as I gave her a big hug."Bye sweetie, I'll see you real soon"said Mom, giving me one last hug. Mom handed me my duffel bag and left. I asked a tourist lady if she knew who I was meeting with. She said she knew and she said that she can take me to his room.So I followed her to this guy's room. The lady said to wait here and he'll be with me in a few minutes. So I sat down and waited for him/her. I looked around the room. I thought about what this meeting was for. My head was blank. Then the door opened and a guy in a white lab coat came in. He had science goggles on his head. He also had a piece of paper in his hand with a pencil. He sat down on a stool that he took out from underneath his desk."Hello, I'm doctor wood" said Dr.Wood."Hi, I'm Amy" I said as I greeted him with a hand shake."Now about today, I wanted you to know that we're gonna keep you longer than I thought" said Dr.Wood."And who's We ?"I asked."You don't know what this place is, do you?"said Dr.Wood."No, but go on"I said in a little panicked voice."This is the A.T.L"said Dr.Wood."What does that stand for?"I asked."Animal Testing Lab" replied Dr.Wood."Wait a minute...animal testing lab? I shouldn't be here"I said as I stood up from my seat."No, you should be here"said Dr.Wood as he stood up and grabbed me by the hand."Follow me".I Followed Dr.Wood through the building. We went into another room, but it was a big room. It had a cage at the back of the room. Dr.Wood led me to that cage. He told me to go in the barred cage. So I did, but at this point I thought he was crazy.Turning a 13 year old girl into an animal to do whatever research. Can't they just do research on an actual animal? Well, that's something new I learned today. I stood there in the big cage.I was surprised that there wasn't any big lazer or something in front. As I stood there motionless, I thought about my Mom and maybe not seeing her again.Then I felt a sharp pain coming from my right leg.I looked down to see what it was. But when I looked down at my right leg,there was a tranquilizer dart sticking out from my leg. I could see whatever liquid was in the tranquilizer dart had gotten into my bloodstream.Sooner or later, I'm gonna pass out from the liquid. Some minutes went by and I already feel like I'm gonna fall over.My eyes feel droopy, and I'm having trouble balancing on my 2 feet. More minutes go by and my heart is trembling. Everywhere I look, Everything looks like it's moving all by itself. Finally, I fell over. As I fell, I tried to grab the bars to break my fall, but my hands missed. As I landed onto my back, I looked around me one last time before I go into a deep sleep.
