Vacation

Alexis and her family are on vacation in Cancun enjoying the last bit of summer before they have to go back to normal lives with school and work and she's trying to enjoy herself even though she's worried about finishing up her senior year of college when she gets back home, her and her family are getting ready to go out to lunch but her little sister savannah is throwing a fit because she doesn't want to stop swimming, she's only 6 and her tantrums are unpredictable.

Mom finally got her strapped into the car seat in the back of the rental and they're loading up to go, "Alexis" her mom says " will you please give your sister Mr waddles?" Mr waddles is this stupid stuffed penguin savannah has had since she was 1, she saw it at a gas station and refused to let it go until dad bought it for her and he only did to get her to stop screaming.

Mom picked a cute seafood place for lunch because we need to "dive into the local culture and food" 🙄

I just ordered my usual salad with a margarita to sip on so I can try and calm my anxiety and we just casually chat throughout lunch, dads telling stupid jokes and moms laughing a little louder then normal, I think she's had one to many for how tired she has been lately,

There's this guy at the bar that keeps glancing at me and I don't know if I should be scared of him or if he's just really hot but I can feel a tingly feeling throughout my whole body when we accidentally lock eyes for the first time and i can't make myself look away.

"Alexis" dad says "yes dad? Sorry I was just looking at something"

"I've been trying to get your attention for a few minutes now, we're ready to go, did you want to go back to the beach or head back to the hotel?" Dad says

"I think I'd like to go back to the hotel" says Alexis

dad drops me off at the hotel and I get on my laptop and try and google the guy, I saw his name when he signed his receipt back at the restaurant but I'm not getting any results,

I give up and go to take a nap before dinner and wait for the fam to get back from the beach.
