James is a red mixed traffic engine a mixed traffic engine is an engine who can pull both coaches and trucks... And so can a big half of the fucking railway... You know this is pointless let's just go on. James has lived on the island of sodor for many years now but, he wasn't always red. He used to be black until after his terrible crash he needed repairs and new paint work.
Since he got painted red he's been a bit vain about it. He definitely is a splendid engine with a bright red coat but other engines and drivers including james' driver Isabella were getting annoyed with his bragging and vanity.
One afternoon Thomas, Percy, And Gordon were at knapford station. Thomas was shunting Gordon's coaches as well as his own while percy was waiting to take passengers to the beach.
Thomas: Hey do you think James will get into an accident today?
Percy: Hopefully not...
Gordon: with his rate of speed I'd say definitely.
Just then James came racing through the station.
James: I'M FASTEST RED ENGINE ON SODOR
he shouted.
Thomas: JAMES SLOW DOWN YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE A CRASH.
Annie: That's James for you
Clarabel: couldn't have said it better.
Alex: he'll learn the hard again guys...
Percy: I don't think he will...
Jacob: Percy its James he loves showing off
Percy: well i mean i could see why and he has a perfect reason to...
Thomas: did you get bad coal this morning?
Jacob: No he didn't... Percy are you feeling alright?
Percy: I feel fine.
Jacob: What's up with you then? It's not like you to be this defensive...
Percy: I'm fine j thanks for the concern but we have to go now the passengers can't wait forever.
Percy jolted forward in slight embarrassment he thought his feelings for James would go but they haven't.
Gordon: Are you sure he's not sick?
Ava: I'm not sure but he is acting strange...
Thomas: Maybe he has feelings for someone?
Alex: I bet it's that... But We have to get to work guys... Or else Mr. jackson will yell at us.
Thomas and Gordon: Ok
The guard blew his whistle and they set off to work.
Meanwhile percy had delivered the passengers to the beach and to the water station before going to pick up a goods train at the shunting yards. While they were at the water station Percy's driver Jacob decided to talk to him.
Jacob: percy please be honest with me do you have feelings for someone someone?
Percy: Well yes i Do...
Jacob: Does this someone have a number 5 on their tender?
Percy: Yes... It's just I'm embarrassed a little...
Jacob: it's okay if you're a boy and you like another boy and same thing for girls. It's nothing to be ashamed of its something to be proud of.
Percy: What if i get made fun of it? And what if James doesn't like me back?
Jacob: there will be people who will make fun of you but those people just can't accept the fact that it's okay to like the same sex and that love is love. And what if James does like you back?
Just before percy could say anything in response James came in at a high rate of speed then stopped.
James: Oh hello percy what are you doing here?
Percy: Hello James I'm just filling up with water and getting ready for my goods train.
James: I feel sorry that you have to pull a goods train but safe travels to you.
Jacob: WAIT...Isabella can i talk to you for a minute?
Isabella: Sure! I'll be back James.
Jacob whispered to percy: is it okay if i tell Bella to talk to James about possibly being gay?
Percy:Sure
Jacob: ok thanks
While Jacob was talking to Bella James decided to talk to percy.
James: So percy how have you been lately?
Percy: I'm good and what about you?
James: same here... So... I was wondering if we could talk later... In private?
Percy: Yes ofc
Percy started to blush thinking of all the possible outcomes of that "Talk in private". James was quick to notice and had a huge smile on his face.
James: When we get to the sheds just follow me okay?
Percy: okay...
James winked at percy and this made him blush an impossible red.
The conversation between Bella and Jacob:
Jacob: So Bella percy came out today
Bella: OMG I'm so happy for him
Jacob: I am too but DON'T TELL ANYONE OKAY?
Bella: ok i won't i promise
Jacob: okay so here's the other part he has feelings... For a certain red engine...
Bella: James?!?!
Jacob: Yes yes yes him
Bella: you know James has been acting a bit weird around percy...
Jacob: that's what i wanted to talk to you about is it possible that James is gay?
Bella: I really think it is honestly...
Jacob: Can you talk to him about... That just don't force him out of the closet?
Bella: yes of course I'd actually be happy of he is gay...
Jacob: ok thank you so much Bella
Bella: no problem!
Bella: ok James we have to get back to work now.
James: ok bye Jacob. See you later Percy ;)
James and Bella had left. It was just Jacob and Percy now that were about to leave.
Jacob: So what was that about?
Percy nothing... I'll tell you later
Jacob: Alrighty then c'mon let's get back to work.
And they went back to work at once.
Later on that day James was waiting for his coaches and Knapford. While waiting Bella decided to talk to James.
Bella: So James do you have feelings for anyone lately?
James: Well... Yes as a matter of fact i do...
Bella: who is this someone?
James: Would you still love me if it was a boy engine that i have feelings for?
Bella: of course i would james? I support the LGBTQ+ community 100%
James: Really?
Bella: Yes James i believe that whoever you're in love with and whoever makes you happy you should be with that person.
James: I'm scared to tell him and i don't think he has feelings for me after all the horrible things i did to him.
Bella: But what he does have feelings for you?
James: Because it's percy and I've been so mean to him...
Bella: James you'll never know unless you don't confess your feelings for him to him.
James: Fine I'll tell him tonight... It's just can you not come it's kind of a special thing
Bella: I know you guys will want your privacy.
James: Thanks Isabella you're the best
After that chat they set off to work.
Later on during the night it was time for the night jobs Percy asked Mr. Jackson if Thomas could fill in for the night train and luckily he said yes and also asked if Jacob didn't come with him and James Jacob understood that they needed their privacy. When they were done with that James led percy to the hideout near the castle.
Percy: what a nice cozy place James
James: Thanks this is where i like to hideout and think about stuff it's not much really but it has a spectacular view.
Percy: It truly does
Percy said while looking at James. James' face turned as red as his paint percy giggled a little when he noticed that.
Percy: So um James what did you want to talk about?
James: Ok so i actually wanted to confess something to you...
Percy: well what is it James?
James: Look percy the first day that i met you i liked you a lot but as i got to know you more i started to catch feelings for you more and more and stupidly i thought that if i teased you or made fun of you that my feelings for you would go away but they haven't and i deeply regret being mean to you. I like you a lot percy and i hope we can be more than friends but if not i still hope we can remain friends.
Percy was blushing bright red and shocked at this point.
Percy: Oh James i truly do think that your paint work is splendid and that you truly are the fastest red engine. I really do have feelings for you too James i was just scared to tell you i was scared that you'd say you don't have feelings for me. But you do and that makes me the happiest engine on sodor. Yes James we can be more than friends we can be boyfriends.
James: You have no idea how happy i am right now
Percy: I think a little bit of that idea.
They both leaned in and shared a passionate kiss together. It was getting late so they decided to leave to the sheds. When they home everyone was wondering where they were. They just said they'll tell them tomorrow.
The next morning everyone except for James and percy were awake and still wondering what happened to them last night. James and percy finally woke up with a bunch of questions being asked of course. So they went onto the turntable so that they were facing the engines. Than they waited for all of the drivers to come. Once they did they started confessing.
Percy: So as many of you know me and James have dated other engines in the past.
James: But than we discovered different feelings...
Gordon: Get to the point!
Ava went up to Gordon and squeezed his cheek for rushing them.
Gordon: Okay okay fine take a thousand if you'd like.
Ava: Shut up Gordon... Percy, James please continue.
James: Well what we were going to say is that...
James and Percy: WE'RE DATING
Everyone was shocked by this news but were also happy everyone whistled clapped and cheered for their friends.
Edward: I'm so proud of you guys!
Henry: I support you guys 1000%
They all were happy percy and James were happy especially they both admitted their feelings for eachother and got what they dreamed of.
