Against All Odds

The beginning

The day started out like it normally did but little did I know then it would be the best day of my life, I was walking to school on a cold rainy day every thing had gone wrong that morning and as I was walking (feeling Sorry for myself) I looked up and I saw her standing by the steps of the high school my heart started racing just at the sight of her her long Black hair flowing gently across her shoulders, her face was shining like the sun I knew then she was the one but me being a shy guy walked right past her without saying anything but then I got up my courage and turned to say hello to her but she was gone so I went to class thinking to myself (why am I always to late why can't I think of something to say to her) and when lunch time came around I was sitting talking to my friends and I saw her again and she was walking towards  my table and  before I knew it she was sitting across from me and I had no idea what to say( I gulped) she looked at me and smiled and said jokingly "I've seen you around school but you never say anything to me are you afraid of me " which was obviously a joke because she was so small and sweet and I was the quarter back on the school football team so when she said that my friends started joking
With me at what Sally had said so when they quieted down I said" no I'm not afraid of you your just the most popular girl in school so I did not know what to say to you " she smiled and said joking" well I just wanted to say hello to you and see if you could talk " and she got up to leave so I was thinking to myself"ok this might be your only chance to ask her so I gathered up my courage and said"Sally would go with me to the concert tomorrow night " and then she turned around and looked at me then I said "well you probably have a date already so it's fine" she smiled and said " I was beginning to think you were never going to ask me of course I will go with you"
