"Mom?" The concern escaped me quickly. Stooping down to assess how she was doing, I was stopped by the lead villain in front of me.
"She's dead, don't bother."
I didn't want to believe him, but the purple color of her lips and the transparency of her skin was undeniable. My hand paused briefly, but I grabbed her wrist regardless, my palm being greeted by her icy flesh. "You're lying." I breathed out, releasing her corpse.
Shigaraki began to laugh maniacally. "You took too long. You failed."
It almost felt like my heart had stopped beating in that moment. Surprisingly, the elements began to spin around me, glass, metal, air, and water all spun around in a flurry of different color and motion.
I could hear All Might and...Endeavor? They were both calling for back up frantically, but it didn't matter, because I couldn't stop myself now. The hatred in my chest exploded from me in another one of my mental breakdown screams, shattering the glass of every window and sending a sonic boom throughout the neighborhood. Every one and every thing began to quake from the explosion, but that didn't stop the villains from trying to attack or escape.
Soon, the entire building was flooded with heroes, but I couldn't calm the elements, they were moving at their own accord now.
Shigaraki disappeared into the warp gate and in his place appeared a Nomu. And then another. And another. More Nomus began to pour from the warp gate until the room was filled with 10 of them. They moved to attack me specifically, since I was the only hero who was doing anything to anyone. So in response, my fingers curled to summon the metal floor again, the metal melting upward into spikes and detaching, leaving large holes in the floor. Thrusting both of my arms outward, the spikes took aim at different Nomus and cut through the air like bullets, impaling the creatures and nailing them to the wall. They were no where near as strong as the one that attacked at USJ. Which made me the worst opponent for them. The only villains left in my path were Twice, Toga, and Dabi, since Shigaraki had disappeared like the coward he is.
"Who did this to her?" I yelled at them, the winds so deafeningly loud that I wasn't sure they could even hear me. I wasn't paying attention to anything the other heroes around me were doing, but I did hear All Might yell and felt a huge force smack into me like a train. I toppled side ways, skidding to a halt just before I crashed into the wall. When I looked up, it was All Might who had crashed into me. "What the hell, dude!" I yelled at him, delivering a smack to his bicep which left him completely unharmed.
"Look!" He yelled at me, grabbing my head and forcing me to look at the doorway I was keeping my back to. There stood my biological mother and father, holding some sort of green liquid in a syringe. "They were trying to stick you with that!"
I didn't grace him with a response, instead turning my rage on my parents by using a combination of fire and air to make the oxygen around the doorway combust and send them flying out of the way.
"Akiyasu!" All Might yelled my name, grabbing me by my shoulder and turning me to look at him. "Don't lose control! You are angry, but you are still a hero."
Before I could respond, I felt something sharp bury itself beside my spinal cord. I stumbled forward, giving All Might an expression that basically said, "we fucked up," and tried to reach for the syringe in my back but my arm wasn't long enough. I threw a look over my shoulder to see my mom, grinning widely as my dad picked himself up and held his hand in my direction. He was going to use his water power to inject the quirk enhancer into me. "All Might..." I fell into him and he quickly ripped the syringe out of my flesh, but not before my father had injected some of the serum into me. We both stared at the syringe in his beefy hand and realized that a third of it was missing. Was that enough?
