𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓜𝓸𝓻𝓷𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓟𝓪𝓽𝓱𝔀𝓪𝔂. Dark as ever. The sun was rising behind me. I didn't bother to hesitate and kept walking forward. No point. Gotta face the day, whether I like it or not. The leftover puddles from yesterday's shower splashed steadily beneath my feet. I didn't really notice. The rain is more peaceful than anything. I kept on forward. Occasionally, some kids from my school bumped into me and shoved me on purpose as they walked past. I still didn't hesitate. It's kinda normal for me at this point. I'm the outcast, the weird kid. Eventually, I arrived at the front gate. It was wide open, and would be until about 8:30. I looked back. The sky was now a pale pinkish orange in the distance. The sun halfway risen. I turned back around and kept walking until I was inside. Immediately, the scent of lavender air refresher hit me. Normally the smell would be soothing but... I guess being around so many people who hate you changes things for you. I avoided the stares and walked towards my homeroom. Eventually, the states were.. everywhere.. so I looked down. Aside from my main field of vision being blocked, I got there fairly easily. Until I bumped into... someone. "I-i.. s-sorry." I stuttered quietly and tried to move past him. He wouldn't let me. "Oh it's alright! Are.. you okay?" He asked gently, examining him. I nodded and tried to move past him once more. He still wouldn't budge. "You sure?" He asked again, pushing for an answer. I looked him right in the eyes. He sighed and gave up, moving aside. I shuffled to the back corner and sat at that desk, pulling out a book. I read silently and only minutes later, I felt a tap on my shoulder. "Hey uh.. it's me again. Whatcha reading??" He asked in an interested tone. I largely ignored him. I turned the page and kept on reading. "How do you read that? The font is so.. tiny!" He asked excitedly. Lord this kid won't quit. Who put him up to this? I turned the page again which had a picture on it. His mouth gaped open. "Is that a DRAGON??" He asked loudly. I sighed and put the bookmark in on that page. He gave me a confused look. "What do you want from me? Who are you?" I asked him. He fidgeted with the strings on his hoodie. "I.. I thought you looked lonely so I wanted to talk to you!" He responded nervously. "Well in case you haven't really noticed, nobody here talks to me. They don't like me. So if you don't want to be picked on and shoved into a locker, I suggest you leave me alone." I turned away and put my book back in my backpack. But he still wasn't ready to give up. "That's more the reason to talk to you then!" He said boldly. I stood up with my things and moved to a different seat. He followed me like a dog begging for a treat. In this case, the treat was my friendship. In all honesty, I kinda did want a friend... but I'll just disappoint him. Besides... someone who cares so much doesn't deserve to be shoved in a locker and called names. "Just... just tell me one thing then. What's your name?" He asked genuinely. I sighed a final time and looked directly at him. "Razzious. But, please call me Razzy." I told him. He nodded and smiled sweetly. "Nice to meet you Razzy! I'll leave you alone now. Talk to you later okay?" And with that, he walked away and sat up front. Alright I'll give him one thing. As annoying as he is, he's kinda adorable. I don't mean that in a gay way or anything... he's... nice. Too bad I won't ever get to talk to him again.
