I was six when my life changed. My mother was the sweetest person in the world. Her name was Jen she had long brown hair with blue eyes she was perfect in every way. I just don't know why she got with my father. My father name was David he had black hair with dark brown eyes. He was a monster he was a raging alcoholic he would always be drinking no matter what. He would be varialbley, philosophy, and mintaly abuse to my mother and I but she would always try to make sure that he wouldn't hurt me, but this night changed everything. It was a cold Saturday night in December in Clay Nebraska. I was sitting on the couch watching some cartoons while my mother was in the kitchen washing the dishes. Then he came in.

"H-Hey why a-arent you in b-bed!" He yelled "don't y-you have school t-tomorrow!"

I could hear in his voice that he was drunk. I mean he was always drink.

"N-no dad its a Saturday," I said

I shouldn't have said that to him. I saw the anger in his face. It was tierfing to see it.

"Did you talk back to me?" He asked

"N-no, I said

"Ugh you'er just a piece of shit," he said as he grabbed her by the shirt

"Dad what are you doing?" I asked Scared

I was so scared I didn't know what he was going to do to me. I just started at him then my mother came in. She didn't know what was going on she just knew it wasn't good.

"David what the hell are you doing to Alice?" She asked

"Whatever stupid bitch," he said

He throw me at the floor and walked to his room. My mother ran up to me and help me up. She was making sure that I was ok.

"Are you ok sunsh?" She asked

"Yeah I'm fine mommy," I said

Just then my father came back into the room. With a m1911 pistol. My mother saw this and looked at me.

"This is what you get you stupid bitch!" He yelled as he pointed the gun at her

"Alice run now!" She yelled

I ran out of the house scared. I ran to my mothers friends house. I knock ad hard as I could. The door open Kate and Robin were there staring at me.

"Help me dad is going to hurt mommy help please!" I yelled

Robin was calling 911. Kate was trying to calm me down. She was rubbing the tires off my face. I didn't even know I was crying. All I wanted that my mom was going to be ok.

"Honey everything is going to be ok," kate said holding Alice

"I just want my mommy," I said as I kept crying

"Don't worry ok the police are going to be there ok," Kate said

"Ok," I said

The police came my mother was shot 3 times. Once in the head twice in the chest. I remember my father was screaming in the police car.

"I didn't do anything it was that bitchs fault!" He yelled as he was hitting the window.

He Was taken away. He had life in prison without parole, but the good thing that I got adopted by Kate and Robin. There the best thing that happened to me

Now I'm 16 and I have a brother named Nathan. I lived in Clay Nebraska but we moved to Sanger California. Was had to move there because of kates job shes an OB-GYN. I just hope nothing bad happens.
