Carter's Birthday Party

When I woke up and got changed, I went to Carter's room. And I saw him playing with toys and he was already dressed up. Well someone's excited...haha.

Carter: (smiles) "Yay! It's my birthday party today!"

Alessia: (smiles) "Yes it is!! Are u excited?!"

Carter: "Of course I'm excited! Today will be so much fun!"

Alessia: "Yes it will!!"

Shawn started laughing as he was walking up to me.

Alessia: (laughs) "Why are u laughing, Shawn?"

Shawn: "Because of how loud Carter is, he's so excited. I was always excited like this just like him when it was my birthday."

Alessia: (laughs) "He's a happy kid."

Shawn: (smiles) "I know."

Alessia: "And I'm grateful to have him."

Shawn: (smiles) "So am I, I'm also glad I have you."

Alessia: "Awww."

We kissed.

Carter: (laughs) "Ew u and dad are nasty!"

Alessia: (laughs) "Sorry Carter."

Shawn: (smiles) "Wait till u get older."

Carter: (laughs) "Yucky!!"

Alessia: (laughs) "Let's go outside, your party is already set up."

Carter: "Really?!"

Alessia: "Yea it's ready, come with us."

Carter: "Yes!!!"

We headed outside with Carter and Carter loved what he saw.

Carter: "Wow it looks cool!"

Alessia: (smiles) "Well it's your birthday and we love u so we made it amazing."

Carter: (smiles) "Ooh could I have a cupcake?"

Shawn: (smiles) "No kiddo, u have to wait for ur friends to come."

Carter made a fake sad face.

Shawn: "Ok fine, you're the birthday boy so u could have one."

Carter: "Yay!"

Carter took a cupcake and ate it.

Shawn: (smiles)

Carter's friends arrived 20 minutes later and they played lots of fun games.

Alessia: "I can't believe he's six years old already."

Shawn: "Just six years ago, you were in the hospital giving birth to Carter."

Alessia: "I know it just feels like only yesterday."

Shawn: "He grows so fast but he's a great kid."

Alessia: "I know."

After much playing, Carter had cake with his friends. After cake, they played for some more hours and headed home. We cleaned the backyard up and headed inside.

Shawn: "Did u have fun today, sport?"

Carter: "Yea it was so much fun! Thanks!"

I took a photo of Carter and posted on Instagram saying this: Happy 6th Birthday Carter, It was exactly 6 years ago u were born. It just feels like yesterday. You're growing up so fast, we're glad u had fun today. We love u so much💙 lots of people liked my post and Shawn said happy birthday to Carter on Instagram too. Carter also has his own Instagram but I run the account since he's too young to use social media by himself. I logged onto his account and posted a photo of him there saying this: Had the best birthday ever! Thank u guys for the birthday wishes!!💙🎉  And yes, Carter's comments were disabled as well. Many of u guys in real life ask me why I take off the comments and I am pretty sure some of u guys know why. Lots of people liked Carter's post and he had 886k people following him so far.  After having so more fun inside the house, we went to bed. Me and Shawn were tired but Carter wasn't. So we let him play quietly for about 10 minutes and then he was sent to bed and this time he fell asleep.
