Rogers P.O.V

After a long day of recording, Freddie, John, Brian and I all sat around the old, chipped, wooden table which always stayed in the corner of the studio. Enjoying each others company over some light smoking, though Brian wasn't smoking, and cups of tea. We probably would have decided to drink something a bit stronger than tea but we were all driving home this afternoon. Plus it's not really a good look to be drinking too much alcohol in the middle of the day, even if we are rock stars.

"So, darlings, what are we all doing for valentines day?" Freddie chirped up after taking a puff from his cigarette. "Well, not you John. I know exactly what you're doing."

Freddie winks at John whilst John smirks wildly back at him. "If you must know, me and Freddie are going out for a meal together." John boasted confidently, pulling his teacup up to his mouth to stop the giggling that probably would arise if nothing controlled it.

After pulling his eyes away from John, Freddie turns to Brian. "So, what are you and Chrissie doing for valentines day then?" Freddie pressed on. I reach from my cup and take a sip, trying not to show any discomfort. "Anything romantic planned?"

"Well, actually we have a full week of different activities planned. It starts a week before valentines day so then the last date is on valentines day." Brian stated with barely any emotion. He seemed really bothered or upset by something, though I'm not too sure as to what it could be. It was so unusual and I didn't want to press the matter.

"That's a really creative idea." Freddie admitted whilst raising his eyebrows up.

Both me and John agreed with smiles on our faces. It was a good idea. A great idea, in fact. I just wish that he wasn't going to do it with Chrissie.

I hadn't told anyone else in the band about my little crush on my best friend, though sometimes I feel like I make it too obvious that I have feelings for him. It's not my fault that Brian is so attractive inside and out. He has dark, brown, bouncy, curls which framed his long, pale, elegant face. His body was long and lanky and beautiful. He has a heart of pure gold and cares so much about things that actually matter. He is also really intelligent and smart. But he is  straight. He is the complete opposite of me. And that's the reason I like him so much.

"Yeah, it is a good idea isn't it. It would be even better if we were doing things that we would both enjoy though." Brian complained as he folded his arms onto the table. "We are going to fancy restaurants and tasting cheese and wines with Chrissie's friends. But I don't like any of that stuff, it's all too fancy."

"You should say something to Chrissie if you're not happy." I suggested with a slight smile on my face. I don't know why but I received some joy from the idea that Brian wasn't happy with her. "She is controlling everything about the dates and your fun shouldn't suffer because you want to make her happy. You will end up feeling miserable." I paused, putting the cigarette to my mouth. "Just find things that you both enjoy, I'm sure she would understand." I added so then I didn't make anyone suspicious about my hatred for Chrissie.

"You know what, Rog. That isn't a half bad idea." He exclaimed as he patted my shoulder, resting his hand there after he had finished. My heart was pounding in my ears so loud that I could barely understand what he said next. "I will talk to her when I go over to hers later. Thanks Roggie."

My cheeks fired up with the rush of blood, making my face turn slightly red. But I didn't try to cover it up, I just continued to smile up at his warm, hazel eyes. "S'alright." I gushed back.

"So what are you doing then, Roger?" John interrupted, Brian pulled his eyes away from mine.

"Wait, what for?" I was genuinely puzzled after being ripped away from Brian's gaze. His hand had now left my shoulder, leaving only the ghost of his warmth behind.

"Valentines day, Rog." Freddie snorted, John smirking at me with Freddie's arm wrapped around his shoulder.

"Oh, right." I chuckled under my breath. "I'm not doing anything because it would be weird going on  a date by myself."

"I'm sure you can find some random bimbo in a club who would be more than happy to join you for a couple of pints in the pub." Freddie tried to convince me, but the truth was I didn't want to do anything with anyone other than Brian but that just wasn't possible. He had someone and he was straight.

"I don't want to do anything for valentines day anyway. It's not really my thing." I drank the rest of my tea. "Well, I'm gonna get going. I have a lot to do tonight."

"Yeah, same. We best be going now." John stood up, the rest of us following his actions. "Come on Freddie. See you guys tomorrow."

"Don't be late for recording tomorrow, both of you." Freddie began as they made their way out of the door. And with that they left without turning back.

"I hope you have a nice evening Roger." Brian uttered as he shrugged on his jacket.

"You too, Bri." I make my way to the door, Brian following close behind. "I hope things turn out fine for you and Chrissie." I lied.

We made our way down to our cars in a comfortable silence, which none of us wanted to ruin. That's what I loved about Brian. He didn't make things awkward and he was a very comfortable person to be around. Saying one last good bye, we finally parted ways.
