AGE-OLD SONG:
I shall sing thee a song,
a lullaby sweet,
to the beauty that rests,
on thy tender cheek,
for the hope thou hast buried,
within thy bright eyes,
and the cloak of innocence,
upon thou dost lie.
For the love thou dost need,
for the peace thou dost seek,
I shall sing thee a song,
a lullaby sweet.
MY ENIGMA:
Why this inevitable rivalry,
embedded, within my soul?
Why has all certainty vanished,
birthing a stronger woe?
If so be it my heart has shed its blood,
being stricken by Haste's blade,
why then, oh youthful Time
can no man see the stain
To date, I thought the solution
to be far beyond my reach,
until I felt it's rugged hand,
reaching back to me.
Fear has drowned all sentiment.
Thus, at present, all to be felt
Is that, with the solution, comes the problem I face,
lying in the question, itself.
