Ch.10 "Thunderstorm"

everyone nodded 

                                             Maisie POV

                                     Nightmare 

I was sleeping then the door burst open revealing Greta grabbing me hard by the arm.

"Lets go you little brat!" She said 

"what did I do!" I yelled 

"you were born, no one wants you and now I'm stuck with you!" She said angry 

she took me to the punishment room tying my hands together 

"Now hold still or you know what will happen." She said angrily 

then she started whipping me with a belt 

"No! No! Stop!" I yelled 

                    End Nightmare 

the  sound of thunder woke me up causing me to gasp I'm covered in sweat trying to catch my breath. 2:30AM great I thought 

"ma'am are you alright" a voice said from above 

"w-whose there." I said through gasps 

"my name is Jarvis I am Mr Stark's AI ma'am" He said 

"Oh" I said through gasps 

I hate thunderstorms reminds me of when Geta locked me in the freezer for three days.

the thunder cracked loudly again causing me to jump 

"would you like me to get Mr Stark for you?" Jarvis said 

"umm no thank you" I said 

I look to see I had plaid pajama pants on and a blue long sleeved shirt on 

I walked out of the spare room 

"I never did get a chance to explore this building did I?" I said out loud 

I hovered my hand over my watch 

"Hey Lizzy what is the best floor on this building for me?" I asked 

"that would be the lab ma'am a few floors down" Lizzy said 

"Perfect!" I said getting on the elevator 

I get off on the floor 

"which way Lizzy" I asked then the then the blue circle appeared above my watch 

"Right then it will be on your left ma'am" she said 

I walk in the lab 

"holy cow! this put my warehouse to shame." I said looking around as I walked 

I hear the thunder outside making me jump again don't be scare don't be scare I thought over and over again.

"what are you doing here?" I heard a voice 

I turned around to see Bruce 

"I just thought I'd have a look at the lab it's much bigger than my warehouse." I said as I looked around 

"Of course it is your father built it." he said chuckling 

"by the way does he know you are here?" Bruce said 

"sure" I said playing innocent 

"I don't think he does" Bruce said 

"why do you think that?" I asked 

"well for starters it's almost 3AM" Bruce said 

"Okay you got me he has no idea I'm awake" I said smiling at Bruce 

"so what ya working on so late?" I asked 

"Oh no I'm not saying anything" Bruce said 

"why not I'm smart to you know" I said 

he arched his brow 

"watch" I said holding my pointer finger out 

I hovered my hand over my watch 

"Hey Lizzy tell Bruce who created you" I said 

then the blue circle hologram appeared above my watch 

Bruce's eyes got wide 

"My creator is Maisie Grey" Lizzy said 

"My god how" Bruce said 

"like i said I'm smart" I said smirking 

he nodded then started to talk in his ear piece 

"Tony I think you better get down to the lab" he said 

"Buzz kill" I said sitting in a spinning chair

then the thunder cracked again causing me to jump 

"You alright" Bruce said 

I nodded 

"Just not a fan of thunderstorms" I said 

he nodded 

then the door to the lab opens 

"what do you need-"Tony said but cut himself off when he sees me I just wave 

"Kid what are you doing down here?" Tony said picking the bridge of his nose 

"Just talking" I said interlocking my hands behind my head 

Tony shook his head 

"Come on Maisie you need sleep" Tony said taking my hand as we walked 

"ten more minutes" I asked 

"No" Tony said as we walked by some of the avengers 

"Five more minutes?" I asked 

"No" he said 

I heard chuckling 

I see Clint and Steve walking behind us 

"two more minutes?" I asked 

"No Maisie" Tony said 

Thunder crashed again making me jump 

all three of them looked at me 

"Look a mouse" I said 

they all jumped 

I chuckled

"Come on bed" Tony said taking me back up to the penthouse to the spare room 

"Goodnight Maisie" Tony said kissing my forehead 

"Goodnight" I said softly
