Backstory
David grew up in Colorado with his older brother Ben and younger sister Johanna, his father owned a fishing company while his mother was an account. He's gay and has never been interested in women, he's also never been keen on the idea of eating animals so he worked as a server and only a server in McDonald's drive-through.
Once he learned to drive, his parents bought him the 'Tana Cola' which he immediately fell in love with and formed a bond with, he hates it when Marianne calls it the 'Orange Juice' so in return, he calls her 'Marnie'. Despite his phobia of heights, David is a keen climber with a grappling hook, he just can't look down. This maybe due to scouts when he was a boy.
The man has a serious fear of butterflies, big or small. Even if it's not on him. His big brother moved on to work at the hangar in the whitetails mountains. Jo stayed in Colorado went on to be an artist. He met Marnie in university, he liked that she didn't want to be with him romantically like most others do and accepted that he wasn't straight, and in return she showed him her secret tattoo.
When they both graduate, he asked if she wanted to go travelling together, If was a little strange that she accepted with no hesitation. But he wasn't going to judge, everyone's got their story.
