"Nooo, not yetttt..." I whined, moving my hand in an attempt to find my phone to make the annoying sound stop.
But then I remembered I put my phone on the other side of the room last night, to prevent myself from being late on the first day in my new school.
NEW SCHOOL!!
THAT'S TODAY??!!!
I rushed outta my bed and quickly got ready. Hundreds of thoughts were going through my head.
New school
New start
New people
No more bullying
The notification sound of my phone got me outta my thoughts. By seeing the name on the screen, I smiled.

I rolled my eyes and quickly got downstairs. As expected Felix was full of energy. He always is. I don't think I've ever seen him nervous. He also makes friends pretty easily.
He's the total opposite of me. I've always been really shy. I'm too scared to talk to people most of the time and I also get anxiety attacks pretty often.
When Felix first tried to have a conversation with me I ran away from him because I was too scared to talk back. I felt like an idiot and hated myself for it. I really thought he would've hated me for doing that. But the day after that he had helped me when one of the bullies in my previous school was beating me up.
Ever since that moment he protected me, was always around me and made sure I was okay. He didn't mind that I don't say much. Probably because he himself talks for 3 people. But he's the best friend I could ever ask for.
He lives with me and my parents now. Why? That's actually a long story. Wait... Nevermind, it's not that long.
Like I said before I got bullied pretty bad. Not only in school, whenever I put a foot out of my house there would be someone trying to hit me or make fun of me. I locked myself in my room first thing when I came home from school, and the same goes for the weekends.
Felix parents passed away a few years ago and after that he moved in with his aunt. His aunt doesn't really care about him and never supported anything he did. I felt bad for him, but Felix made it seem like he wasn't bothered by it at all.
He came over to my house a lot, and my parents started treating him as a son. It even got to the point where he was more at my place than at his aunt's place.
One day a kid from my school had beaten me up really bad. And when I came home my parents decided we couldn't stay in that town anymore. So we moved to another town which was far away from my old town.
When I told Felix I was gonna move and switch schools, he wanted to switch schools with me. But that would've been really hard because its really far away from his aunt's place. So my parents decided to let him move in with us, since his aunt didn't care anyways and was glad she got rid of him.
So now Felix is like the brother I never got to have. And I'm really thankful to have such an amazing person like him in my life.
