"That means you hit last night." Mackie smirked before high-fiving Sebastian Stan, whom was standing right next to him. "My man!"
'More like last week and every night since.' Chris thought to himself before shooting Mackie a warning glare. "Please don't make comments like that around her."
"She's a big girl, Chris. She can handle it." Don Cheadle told him.
"Chris just doesn't want her to feel uncomfortable." Elizabeth spoke for him. "She's only 22 and around a bunch of people she doesn't really know. I would be uncomfortable with someone making jokes about my love life too."
"Thank you Lizzie." Chris smiled as the group began to disperse. Don and Mark were the first ones to leave after giving Chris their word that they wouldn't say anything. Elizabeth, Sebastian, and Mackie stayed around.
For the past 6 days, Chris had been on cloud 9. He loved being on set with his friends and his relationship with Phoenix was growing stronger everyday. Physical intimacy is an important part of any relationship and crossing that line with Phoenix gave him a new sense of confidence. He was filling her up physically every night and tried to give her everything she needed emotionally as well. There was nothing he wouldn't do for that girl.
"LIZZIE!"
"PHOENIX!" Elizabeth smiled widely as Phoenix ran to her, pulling her into what looked to be a very tight hug.
"Hi Sebastian." Phoenix greeted enthusiastically, still hugging the woman she hadn't seen in weeks. "Mackie."
"Hi Phoenix." Sebastian waved.
"How are you gonna say hi to Elizabeth and Sebastian with so much energy and then just say Mackie in that flat tone?" Mackie squinted at Phoenix in to which she did the same thing to him. After a couple seconds of staring at each other, Mackie gave her a hug. The truth of the matter was that he actually did like Phoenix and he missed being able to tease her. "Nice to see you, kid."
"Nice to see you too, old man."
"Only a few years older than your boyfriend though." He joked.
"WHO?" Phoenix teased before giving Chris a nudge.
"That was cold." Sebastian shook his head, laughing.
"I just wanna disappear." Chris said in a remarkably higher pitch than his normal voice as he pretended to cry.
Phoenix poked his cheek. "Hi Chris."
"Hi Honeybee." He replied. "Are you all done?"
"I am." Phoenix nodded, leaning in to give Elizabeth one last hug. "See ya tomorrow."
"Bye guys." Chris waved.
"BYE DARTH HONEYBEE!" Mackie shouted after them.
When they got far enough from the others, Chris reached over to grab her hand and intertwined their fingers.
"We can't hold hands on set." Phoenix reminded.
Chris let go of her hand for not even three seconds before intertwining their fingers again. "Oh look, there's not a rule that says that."
"Oh look, you're absolutely right." She smiled while moving closer so they were walking both hand and hand and side by side with no space in between them.
When they made it to Chris's car, he engulfed her in a hug. He had been waiting all day for the chance to hug and kiss her and now that they were officially off set, he couldn't control himself. Resting his hands on the base of her hips, he gave her a gentle kiss. Phoenix smiled into the kiss as their lips moved in sync.
