The Legend Of Jaide Sparrow

The Boarding School

In a vast town in England, everywhere seemed to be quite the ordinary, everyone bustled around as usual, even the animals had nothing to complain about the ordinary life. Around the corner in one street, there was a boarding school just for girls. However there was one girl that was the standout of the rest. Her name was Jaide Sparrow, she had long, wavy gingery brown hair, that she would have preferred to have kept out and free. But was forbidden by the teachers, who never thought she was the neatest girl in the school; she was in fact, the messiest girl there, but the prettiest. A lot of the girls there would make mean and snide comments behind her back. To tell the truth, she neither cared nor listened. She knew she was different to them, and that her dream was to run her own ship and be the best sailor of the sea. Sailor? She kept wondering whether that was the right word for her dream. She only wondered.....

'Miss Sparrow,' Mrs Smith snapped, which instantly made her realise where she was right now; in a class in the afternoon, everyone shrieked with laughter. 

'Wha-what?' Jaide stuttered, fumbling with her quill. Oops, she started daydreaming. 

'Okay, quite down everyone,' she snapped again, this time, turning to Jaide, she said, 'miss Sparrow, you may see me after class.' 

This made everyone laugh so hard that they couldn't even look at her, at the end of what seemingly felt like a long class, Jaide stumbled up to the front desk. 

'Look, I'm sorry for daydreaming in class,' she pleaded, trying to get away from her, 'it really wasn-.' 

'I don't want to hear another excuse from you miss Sparrow,' Mrs Smith snapped once again, 'you know what a rough time our colonies are going through, if you just didn't-'

'What?' The words seemed to have leaked from her mouth, and before she could stop herself, she was up at it again, 'just because my family were never part of your colonies you decide to treat me differently?' She yelped, and before she knew it, she ran from her teacher.
