I just thought of writing this early in the morning. I saw about this post on facebook and decided to write something. Words just won't stop flowing in my mind, so here it is.
There are a lot of issues about breaking up that trends in the online world. Issues about couples breaking up because of a third party. Issues about losing love or falling out of love or even getting attracted while still committed.
I am not a proffessional when in comes to this, but I want to share what's on my mind about these things.
I guess those people that are involved in this issue will say that they got "attracted" along the way. But can you really get attracted while being attached or committed to someone? For me that's a yes.
There are a lot of definition of attraction. Yes, you can certainly be attracted to others while being committed. You may feel different emotions towards someone other than your partner. It maybe because that someone is handsome/beautiful, or kind, or he/she can be so caring, or simply because he/she is your type.
But where do cheating begin?
Some say cheating begin when you already feel something towards that person. For me, no. You don't have a hold on your emotions, you can feel something to someone, yes, but for me cheating starts when you start to entertain those feelings and start to care for it. Because during these times that those feelings you feel towards someone will grow. Inapproriately.
Why do you need to put gasoline on an already burning house? It will only add to the fire more.
Why flirt with that someone when you can flirt with your partner? Why go on dates with another when you have a boyfriend/girlfriend you can go on exceptional dates with? Why watch a movie with him when you have a husband/wife you can be with for a Friday movie night?
Some says because of distance. Well, we have the word trust for that. You can get separated for days, weeks, months, or even a year without communication and if your love is real, it will survive. Because for me, the time that you spent far from each other will let you think of things and possibly make you realize how blessed you are to have that person, and you will love him/her more and more everyday despite the loss of connection and communication.
Again, these feelings are natural, but when we start to feel those, remember that Love is always stronger than Attraction. When you really love your partner you will realize that no matter how attracted you are to that someone you will still choose the person you love. As clichè as is sounds but I believe that you can never live a happy, contented and full of love life without that person who made you realize what true love is.
Always remember that Karma is a bitch and regret is powerful and it will only be felt after everything went wrong.
Also, remember to pray to God everyday. A relationship that has God in the center and is founded by His words will never falter.
So cherish that someone you have now, always make him/her special and make him/her feel loved. Every day.
