"Whose grave is it?" Alec asked as he and the group got out of the van at a church.
"Mary Milligan, born Janury 10, 1802, died January 10, 1878." Isabelle read from her phone as they made their way toward the various graves.
Her phone then went off and she grinned. "Excellent. He's home." She looked at the group. "I'm out of here."
Clary looked at her and frowned. "Aren't you coming with us?"
"Oh, I wouldn't miss it for the world but I gotta find out how to get into the vampires' hideout." Isabelle grinned and walked off, running her fingers through her hair.
"Don't do anything I wouldn't do." Jace called out to Isabelle's retreating figure.
"Jace! Over here." Alec called out to the blonde male.
"Coming." Jace replied before making sure Clary was okay. He walked over to his best friend "Yeah?" He asked as he arrived.
"We are crossing vamp territory." Alec looked at him.
"That's the point." Jace smirked slightly and patted his shoulder. "Cheer up, Alec, it will be fun."
Alec sighed. "Jace, think this through. You don't even like this guy. This isn't about the mundane, its about her."
Jace stood silent, looking at his best friend.
"What, you're so desparate to get laid that you'd risk killing us?" Alec continued.
"I'm going to pretend that I didn't hear that." Jace made a move to walk only for Alec to stop him
"That's the problem! You're not listening. Not to this or anything else I've said tonight. You don't know this girl, why do you trust her?"
"Is this about her being Valentine's daughter?" Jace asked him. "Haven't we been through this? Alec, look at me." The dark haired male looked back to his best friend. "You can trust her or not, quite frankly, I don't care. It's not my business but if you don't trust me--" Jace was cut off by Allison and Aaliyah calling them.
"Hey, two guys who were no help at all? We found the grave!" Allison yelled.
The boys made their way over to them. Aaliyah was crouched down beside the grave and brushed the dirt off with her hand.
"Mary Milligan." She read and stood up dusting off her hands.
Clary frowned. "Beloved servant?" She looked at them. "Who puts that on a headstone?" She asked.
"Someone who is in service to a cause greater than themselves." Alec said as he helped Jace dust off the top off the grave which revealed the angelic rune.
Jace then pulled out his stele and traced over the rune, giving off a soft humming sound in the quiet cemetery.
Both boys then opened up the stone lide of the grave, revealing a box inisde. Jace then opened up the box which held various swords, a dagger and steles.
"Where is Mrs Milligan?" Clary asked as she took a seraph blade.
"Don't touch that. You don't know how to use it." Alec looked at her.
