Phoenix looked up to meet his gaze and offered a genuine smile. She didn't realize just how beautiful his eyes were until that moment and thought about how easy it would be to get lost in them.

By the time she refocused her attention on her gaming console, the game had started and her character, Wario, was still at the starting line with Tom's Mario in first.

"Hold it Evans!" Scarlett called from about 6 feet away. She had just exited Hemsworth's trailer and was headed to Evans.

Chris let the door to his trailer shut and headed towards the woman who was walking his way.

"They're bringing in pizza." Scarlett began. "I told them I would rally the troops and see what kind everyone wanted."

"Pepperoni!" He answered without a doubt.

"Got it." Scarlett nodded. It wasn't until she and Chris continued closer to his trailer that she noticed Phoenix sitting there. She gave Phoenix a wave as she approached but Phoenix was so focused on trying to make up for lost ground that she didn't even notice.

"She doesn't see you. She's playing a game against Tom." Evans justified. "My guess is they put a bet on it. She mentioned something about a lightsaber."

"Ahh." Scarlett nodded as they both watched her intently. She didn't know Phoenix too well but she heard nothing but good things about her from those who did get the chance to properly speak to her.

"Hey." She nudged Chris when she noticed him staring at Phoenix. "You okay Evans? You were kinda staring."

"Was I?" He blinked.

"Yes." Scarlett confirmed. "Wait, do you like her?"

Chris looked down at the ground with a smile. "Maybe a little bit."

"It doesn't bother you that she and Tom have so much chemistry?" She asked curiously, being careful not to speak too loud. She had a feeling Phoenix wasn't concerned with nor listening to anything that didn't have to do with the game she was currently playing but Scarlett still went out of her way not to be overheard.

"No." Chris replied honestly. He decided to leave out the fact that she was possibly already seeing someone else.

Rather than responding, Scarlett gave Chris a pat on the shoulder before continuing onto Mackie's trailer. She opened the door and stuck her head in to find Tom and Don Cheadle sitting in there as well. "Oh good, you're all in here!"

"Come on in." Mackie waved.

Scarlett obliged and headed in. She took a sit across from Tom. "What kind of pizza do you want?"

"Meat lovers." Mackie answered.

"Yeah I'll take some meat lovers, too." Don Cheadle nodded.

"Cheese." Tom muttered, his eyes focused on his Nintendo switch.

"Don't you normally get Hawaiian?" Mackie wondered.

"Yeah but Phoenix is a vegetarian." He informed. "She doesn't eat ham."

"The crew gets their own food." Don reminded. "She'll be fine."

"We share sometimes." Tom shrugged.

"Phoenix, huh?" Scarlett urged.

"Yeah. What about her?" Tom asked without looking up from his Nintendo switch. "She told you I'm kicking her butt in Mario Kart?"

"Of course that's what he's been doing over there?" Mackie mumbled to himself.

"Isn't she like... just outside?" Scarlett questioned. "Why not just play together?"

"We are playing together."

"This is what the kids do nowadays: text from the same couch, call when they're in the same house and apparently play video games together but in separate rooms." Mackie chimed in. "My kids do it too."

"We're not playing in the same room because she always wins." Tom explained. "She has a way of making me laugh for no reason. She'll say something just really weird and I take my eye off the screen for not even a full second. BOOM, she's in the lead. BUT when we play in different rooms, I can hold my own. Easily."

"How's everything going with you two?" She urged.

"I'm not sure what you mean?" Tom furrowed his eyebrows all the while continuing to keep the lead in Mario Kart. "I'm a little confused."

"Man, are you interested in her or not?" Mackie asked straight up.

"Not." Tom laughed. "I never said I was interested in her. What gave you that impression?"

Mackie and Scarlett looked at one another, each waiting for the other to provide an explanation.

"You eat lunch with her, you joke around about your nerd stuff with her, you're really around her every chance you get." Mackie answered. "There's a lot of chemistry there."

"I do think she is very pretty and obviously I like her but only as a friend." Tom clarified. "I mean, Scar-Jo and Evans pretty much do everything that Phoenix and I do together. That doesn't mean they're romantically involved or interested in one another."

"You've got a point there." Scarlett agreed. "Everyone was just kinda wondering what was going on between the two of you since you do get along so well. I apologize for assuming."

"While we're on the subject, I think Evans is kinda smitten with her." Tom added nonchalantly. "I saw him checking her out the other day. After that, I started noticing other little things here and there... like the fact that he looks at her. ALL THE TIME. Whenever she eats lunch with us, Evans trades seats with Hemmy so he can sit next to her and talk to her."

"Wow." Don shook his head. "Phoenix should just go ahead and hire you as her guard dog."

"OH YEAH!" Tom jumped up at the conclusion of the game. He came in first place while Phoenix came in third. "Chris looks at her the way you all think I look at her. Wait, are you telling me I'm the only one who caught all that?"

"Do you think she's interested? Hypothetically speaking, of course." Scarlett wondered.

"That is, of course, if she isn't already seeing someone else?" Mackie added.

Tom raised an eyebrow. He had no idea why all of a sudden everyone was interested in his friendship with Phoenix.

"I don't see why she wouldn't be interested." Tom admitted. "She's single. He's single. She's an amazing girl and he's a great guy. Chris should go for it."

"And you would be completely okay with that?" Mackie questioned.

"Absolutely."

"Would you really though?" Don asked. "You're saying, hypothetically, you would be okay with the ramifications of anything popping off between Chris and Phoenix?"

"I've already said I think she's fantastic." Tom reminded. "We have tons in common and get along very well. I would never ruin what we have to try and 'date her.' I couldn't risk losing her as a friend over something that wouldn't last. If Chris likes her, he should pursue her and see if she feels the same way. ANYWAYS I've gotta go find Phoenix. She owes me a lightsaber."
