Araea-Isabella-Marie. That was her name. In the darkness of sleep she would fight and conquer and rule over a kingdom, she didn't even knew to exist. And in the mornings, she remembered nothing of the lovely fairytale. But last nights dream was different. This one she remembered. And it was this one that sparked the little island of creativity burying its roots in her brain.

The darkness enclosed the ground, driving the cold wind into a tornado of delight. There was no noise; it was if the ground itself was afraid to speak. Not even the wind dared to release its whispered breath. The trees were invisible, cloaked in an oversized camouflage of darkness, in which the hooded garment draped across the land. If their was any life, it was hidden.

Then, as if the Earth blinked, a single light shone so far up, you would assume it was the moon in the sky. Yet, the brightness grew closer, finally shaping what appeared to be a young woman. Her blond hair fell down to the brim of her feet, saving its rolls of flowers. Her eyes were a kind bright blue, in which they seemed to encase all of color. Her body was like Mother Nature herself, obtained in endless beauty. She wore a short white dress which flowed at ease, flying as if the only thing holding it back were the body it was attached to.

The girl landed, either not knowing or not caring that she had come to a pit of prosperity and depression where neither her dress, nor body, nor hair belonged. She just stared straight ahead, as if searching for an unknown source of life. The wind circled her, finally releasing its breath, laughing at the figure. This, however, seemed not to bother her. After a few moments of the restless teasing the girl held up her hand. As if in command, the wind stopped speaking at once, and a dim light flooded the area reaching anywhere the light pleased. Out of this light came a rabbit.

This seemed to be what the girl was waiting for, as she smiled a happy smile. With this, the liquid grew quicker, revealing plants and finding trees. either the white, cottonwood rabbit was unaware of the suddening change, or he didn't care about the abnormality of the scene.

Then the rabbit, strange as it was, did something even stranger. It spoke.

"We have waited for you." A deep voice rumbled from the rabbit.

"I was postponed. " the young girl replied with a sad smile.

"Yes, I have heard of your husband's loss. The Prince was kind to us." The rabbit slowly responded.

"What is it I have been called to do?" The princess asked, assuming an eagerness to change the topic.

"Evil is among us. It has encased our homes, killing anything and everything it has dared to touch. Our families are dying. Fading off the little food we have, they are alive. But just. If the darkness.does not end, our life existence will be no more." The rabbit barked.

the princess, not caring about the sudden rudeness and eagerness of his words, smiled and politely responded, "I am afraid I cannot help. This power is beyond my control."

" Lies! " the rabbit yelled, "I have seen you raise the dead, conjure life, did of demons, but this you cannot do?"

A few moments passed, and the princess still had not replied. Instead a sterness appeared in her eyes. Moments later still, she spoke.

"The prophecy has banned my magic. They blame me of my husband's death. I cannot act until it has been restored." The kindness now gone from her voice, instead a sterness overtook the unwelcome position. "

This, the rabbit was not pleased to hear. "Then return to the council and demand it back!" The furious rabbit yelled.

"The only way to return my magic is to remarry. This, I cannot due." The princess replied, her. voice slowly rising.

"Then remarry!"

" No. "

"You will let my family die, our land dissapear, our existence be no longer known, because you are to selfish to remarry!?"

" Enough! " the princess yelled, obviously at her breaking point. She turned around, breathing in and out, and with tears glistening in her eyes, she replied. "You have forgotten this is my home too."

" it will not be your home much longer. " with this the rabbit turned and hopped away.

Moments passed. Seconds passed. Minutes passed; and then the princess spoke again, though no one was there. And somehow, though the why is yet unknown, Araew-Isabella-Marie knew the princess was speaking to her.

"we need your help. If you wish to save your home, your heritage, your family, go to the place where light does not shine, though it is day. There you will find a key. You will know what to do with it then. We are counting on you, my Queen Huntress. The world is counting on you." With this, the princess finally faded into nothing. The light suddenly went out, leaving the place just as how it appeared to be. A black pit of nothingness.

****************************************************************

Araea woke up, and found herself grasping for air. The previous dream still lingered in her mind and she wondered if somehow it wasn't a dream at all. She remembered the days when she would wake up and have marks on her arms and legs that weren't there the night before. For weeks she believed that she was losing her memory. Did she get them during the day and forget? Of course she did. There was logically no other way. She was clumsy, so there was a factor in the equation. But now she wondered if she wasn't really losing her memory at all.

The dream made sense in a weird sort of way. She now understood where the marks came from. How and why were still unanswered but she now had a where. And secretly she was relieved to know her memory, for the most part, was still intact.

She sat up in bed now able to breath. She looked to the left where her window was, and by peering through the blinds she found it was dawn.

"Perfect. Just perfect."

She groaned a tired sigh and swung her legs out of bed. As tired as she was she knew there was no way she would be able to go back to sleep. Araea looked at the small black and blue alarm clock on her night stand and confirmed it was 5:00 in the morning. She walked to her dresser and scrounged the drawers for something decent to wear. To her, this meant a non-stained shirt and a pair of skinny jeans.

A few minutes later she located an oversized gray t shirt with a bronze and white stallion leading a black and white foulie and a gray and black mare, perfect for tying up on the side and making a better fitting effect; A pair of dark blue ankle length jeggings with built in tears above the rigt knee and the front of the left shin; and a pair of short black riding boots pulled off the effect. Araea stood in the mirror and brushed back her mid waist wavy blond hair with her hand and pulled it into a sloppy ponytail. She yanked a few pieces of hair out of it and let it hang down her face. She thought it looked like a fast 'just got out of he's look and that was what she always usually went for.
