Magnus

Chapter 1

A/N Hi guys this is a different story. I used the names from the movie Matilda but I'm not using the same storyline. This is the first chapter of my new story Magnus. I hope you enjoy it. Here it goes.

It was a cool foggy night in Hollywood California, Jennifer and Mathew Honey were talking downstairs in their big house while their two kids Magnus and Agatha were upstairs. Agatha was about 12 and Magnus was 2. Agatha loves her brother and she'll do anything to protect him. Soon there came a knock at the door. Agatha heard it and ran downstairs with Magnus in her arms. "Who's that Daddy?" "I don't know babe stay here." "Mathew who ever it is make sure it's not the mafia." "I know babe." Mathew said this while looking nervously at his 2 year old boy. Mathew went to the door and opened it. "Hello, Mr. Honey. We need you and your wife to come with us." "Why?" "Just need to talk business." "Ok we'll go. Agatha keep an eye on Magnus." Agatha nodded her head and watched the four adults head out of the house. Agatha looked down at Magnus in her arms. "Don't worry little Magnus I'll take care of you." Agatha went back upstairs again. And both kids fell asleep.  The next morning Agatha took Magnus to his parents room. When she got there she saw that her parents never came home. She went to the phone and called their Aunt Matilda. Aunt Matilda is a very sweet lady she adored Agatha and Magnus, she tried to visit them as much as possible. This time something wasn't right, when she came in to the house she saw the two kids by themselves. "Agatha where's your parents?" "We don't know they've been gone since last night.  I don't think they came home." "Alright I'll call the police and have them search the town." Matilda went to the kitchen to call the police department. As soon as Matilda got off the phone there was a knock at the door. Matilda went to answer it. "Hello?" "Are you Agatha Honey?" "No I'm Matilda I'm their Aunt. What's up?" "We found Matthew and Jennifer Honey's body outside an alley." Matilda's face went into shock. Magnus looked confused he had no idea what was going on? But Agatha knew what happened? She knew that someone had killed their parents. She held Magnus tightly. "Don't take us away let Aunt Matilda take care of us." "I can't sweetie I got other things to do but I can stop by and check up once in a while." "I'm too young to take care of Magnus I'm only 12." "Agatha you are able to, your old enough you can do it and your parents probably wanted you to take care of him if something happens to them." "You'll do fine." Agatha looked nervously down at Magnus who was just about to fall asleep. "If it makes you feel better I'll stay with you guys for the first few nights." "That would be great thanks Aunt Matilda." You're welcome Agatha." Matilda said goodnight to the police man and thanked them for letting her know about Matthew and Jennifer. She then went upstairs to get the kids ready for bed. She put Magnus to bed, as soon as his little head hit the pillow he was out sleeping like a little baby. Matilda came in to Agatha's room to say good night to her. "Aunt Matilda before our parents left they looked nervously at Mag. Also why are they so  afraid of the Mafia? What do they have to do with us?" "Well your Mom held this powerful Chrystal. The Mafia wants it for some reason. Anyway your mom ate it to keep it safe." "What power does it have?" "Well some say it has the power to make someone really smart. Also it can power as a heart." "What does this have to do with Magnus?" "She was pregnant with Magnus when she ate it. And his heart haven't even developed yet." "Oh no that means it's in Magnus." "Right the Chrystal is his heart he can die if someone takes it out. Unless we have the doctors get him a real heart from a donor." "Does this mean Mag is a target to the Mafia?" Yes but they don't know he has it yet. It's best to keep your brother safe." "Is that why you want me to raise him?" "Yes because the Mafia would never think a kid would raise their own little sibling." "Right." "Don't worry I'll explain more tomorrow after school." "Ok." "You better get to bed Agatha I know how much you like school." "Aunt Matilda?" "Yes, Agatha?" "How do you know my Mom?" "She was a teacher of mine when I was young." "Oh." "Now go to sleep Agatha." "Goodnight Aunt Matilda." Matilda smiled and kissed Agatha on the head and shut her door. Matilda went to Matthew and Jennifer's room and fell asleep on the bed.
