The beginning (Chapter 1)

Trisha, our main protagonist, is a young, happy dragon. Unlike many others of her kind, she has a distinct pattern on her. She has lighter scales on her cheeks and the toes of her legs. She is also a blind one, which is very unlucky in her society since sight is crucial for survival and hunting. She is often bullied by others she has met, and her family isn't of much help either. The only people who don't ridicule or bully her for her blindness or her unique pattern are Dante and Lola. Dante is a bigger guy, but he's a gentleman. He was raised in an environment where any sort of mistreatment to women, no matter how bad or disabled, was unacceptable. Dante had a lot of fur surrounding his neck, making him look lion-like. Lola was raised with pretty abusive parents and was as a result timid and shy. She also had low self-esteem, hence why she didn't mind having Trisha as a friend. This trio hung out all the time, whenever they weren't hunting. They always had a blast, joking about whatever they could think of, sometimes including friends and family. One of these faithful days, they decided to take a walk in the nearby woods. Dante and Lola we're chatting, while Trisha was next to Dante, listening to their footsteps to confirm she was next to them the whole time. Dante and Lola stop talking to look at their surroundings, by now reaching their usual hangout spot. Dante and Lola share a confused look, as their surroundings look exactly the same as when they were around halfway into the woods to their usual spot. Trisha notices the silence and breaks it by asking "Are we there yet?". Dante looks in her direction, answering with 'no'. Trisha gets worried. "But I thought we would've been there by now..." she responds, scared. "We should've been there by now." Lola speaks up. Dante pays careful attention to their surroundings. He then looked in front of them, noticing that he couldn't see the giant field at all, it was just never-ending woods. "Guys, let's go back." he said, panic in his voice. Lola looks at Dante. "Why?" she asks, Dante quickly replying with: "These aren't our woods." in a serious tone. Trisha gets worried, and Dante manages to say "Run-" before it started. The clicking noises in the far distance in front of them.
