𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗢𝗳 𝗖𝗲𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗼𝗿𝘆

The Unforgivable Curses •~•~•¥•~•~•

The majority of the class was laughing, I would find it funny too, if I didn't know what exactly the Death Eaters did with this curse. Having total control on a living being .......

"Yes, very hilarious." Moody said, rather sarcastically. "It would be even funnier if I did on one of you, wouldn't it?"

That stopped the laughter.

"I didn't think so." He put the spider back in the jar, and took out another one. "Does anyone know any others?" Moody asked.

"Umm .... the Cruciatus Curse?" A boy said sheepishly.

"Yes, the Cruciatus Curse. It causes pain, excruciating pain."

He put the second spider down on his desk, this one was rather larger than the last. It was a big tarantula. Moody again directed the wand at the spider.

"Crucio." 

The tarantula's legs bent in on themselves, it twitched vigorously and rolled over on its back. The longer the tarantula was under the curse, the more violently it shook. And I could have sworn ...... I saw an excited glint in Moody's eyes.

Some people looked away from the sight of the tarantula, absolutely horrified. Moody didn't make it stop, just let it suffer more and more pain. His eyes didn't leave the spider, including the blue one.

"STOP!" I shouted.

Moody looked at me then, with his blue eye on me too. He stared at me for a while, and it felt like he was staring into my soul. He eventually quit the torture.

"Reducio."

The spider shrank down smaller, and Moody put it back in the jar. Everyone else was also looking directly at me, startled but also relieved expressions on their faces at my sudden outburst.

"Alright, Mr Diggory. Tell me the last Unforgivable Curse."

"Aveda Kedavra." I said.

Sone people gasped as soon as the words were out of my mouth, I didn't see much of a problem though. I still fear it, but I didn't have my wand in my hand, so therefore I think it's safe enough to say it.

"Yes, Aveda Kedavra. The killing curse."

Moody pulled out the last spider, and set it on the desk. The spider sat there, oblivious to what it's fate was about to become. I didn't want this, it's wasn't just a spider, but a living being.

"Please, sir. If we already know that Aveda Kedavra is a killing curse, is really necessary to demonstrate it on this poor spider?" I asked helplessly.

"Of course it's necessary, boy! How will you be prepared to defend yourself if you've never seen it?"

And without further question, he pointed his wand at the spider.

"Aveda Kedavra!" Moody roared.

Green light blasted out of the wand, and hit the spider. The spider rolled onto its back as soon as the green light made contact with it. The curse left no marks on its body, but quite clearly, it was dead.

"Now, Imperius, Cruciatus and the Aved Kedavra. You will be asked questions about them in your exams. Copy these notes down off the board."

The rest of the lesson was the filled with the sounds of scribbling quills and muttering from my neighbours. The muttering was mostly about the curses:

"Did you see it front-flip?"

"I cringed so badly when it's knees bent!"

"It just .... died, like that!"

I kept quiet, taking down notes. I did say before I was very excited for this topic. Now though, I never want to see those curses in action again.

I know it took a while to get this published, and the chapter isn't even that long, but I have my exams starting on 12th June.
