6:20 am
I don't give a damn 'bout my reputation
You're living in the past it's a new generation
A girl can do what she wants to do and that's
What I'm gonna do
An' I don't give a damn ' bout my bad reputation

The song rang through my ears as I attempted to shut off my alarm. With no avail my half asleep ass just let it ring. I'm only two seconds into my day and it's already going south. As if things could get any worse.

Oh no not me
An' I don't give a damn 'bout my reputation
Never said I wanted to improve my station
An' I'm only doin' good
When I'm havin' fun
An' I don't have to please no one
An' I don't give a damn
'Bout my bad reputation

I finally forced myself up and shut off my damn alarm clock. I've had the same annoying Joan Jett alarm for years and I hate it, but somehow I can't seem to get rid of it. I groggily walked to my bathroom and brushed my teeth. I was spitting when I heard my mom call me down from the kitchen.

"Hey sky, ready for your first day of school?" my mom questioned me awfully happy.

"Ready yes, excited no" I said smiling at her. She rolled her eyes at me and handed me a plate with bacon, fruit, and pancakes. As I was eating I could feel her eyes on me.

"What?" I questioned.

"Nothing, you're just in for a treat today." She said smirking.

"What do you mean?" I think it's a good time to mention my step mom Stacey is a teacher at my highschool.

"You'll see" she sung as she walked away from me. I tried to think of what she could be taking about but I couldn't put my foot on it. Maybe she's just messing with me. My thoughts were interrupted by my moms cheerful voice.

"You ready?" She questioned holding her keys and belongings. I laughed along with her as I waved at her.

"Bye! Love you!"

"Love you too" I said shaking my head while washing my plate. What is she up to? I dismissed my ideas as I rushed upstairs to get ready.
