Hide & Seek!

"They can find us easily in here." I said.

"That's why we are going up." He replied and I was confused.

He pulled me into one of the stalls then stood on top of the toilet. I just stood there really confused. He hoisted himself up on top of the wall that separated the stalls. He stood and pushed up the ceiling, after a second a square part opened up and swung back. He hoisted himself through the hatch and on to the roof. He looked back down at me and I gave him a look. I was not getting up there, I would break a few of my bones doing that.

"Come on before they come in here." He said and I groaned.

I stood on top of the toilet and hoisted myself up like he did. He held his hand out to me so he could help my get through the hole.

When I got through he closed the hatch and ushered me to the middle so they couldn't see us.

"Might as well sit down since were going to be up here a while." Austin said and sat down.

I did the same as I muttered under my breath.

"Great..."

"I heard that!" Austin said teasingly.

"Maybe you were supposed to." I replied.

"You know you like me." He said, throwing his arm over my shoulder.

I shrugged it off, but he kept his arm really close to me.

"This may come as a big shock to you, but not everyone likes you."

"You're right, but I know that you do like me." He said in a matter-of-fact tone.

"And why would you think that?" I ask wanting to hear what he thought.

"I will tell you later." He replied.

"So you don't have an answer."

"I do, but I will tell you later." He said.

"Whatever." I said and look at the far end of the beach.

I could see a light; probably a flashlight, moving from side to side.

"How long do you think we will be up here?" I asked Austin.

"Why, want to know how long we have to 'have fun'?" He asked.

I smack him on the back of the head and he groans, rubbing it.

"I was being serious." I said annoyed.

"I don't know. Until they find everybody or give up." He replied, still rubbing his head.

"You are such a baby." I said.

"It hurt!" He exclaimed.

"You have a sensitive head."

"You like punched my head."

"No I did not, you are just a baby."

"Whatever." He scoffed and bumped my shoulder.

I pushed him and moved away from him. He suddenly strikes up a conversation, a normal conversation while we wait.

I have no idea how long we have been up here, an hour or more I'm guessing. I didn't even notice since Austin practically had me dieing with how funny he was. He would start the most random conversations. While I was laughing I felt my phone vibrate and I pulled it out.

Zander: Nicole + Austin, you guys are the lucky winners. We give up so meet us where we met up so you guys can take your place as the seekers!

I rolled my eyes. 'Oh yay that's exactly what I want to do' I thought sarcastically. I saw Austin reading something in his phone meaning that he got it too. He stood up and opened up the hatch.

"You want to go first?" He asked.

"Nope go ahead."I said.

He climbed down and I heard a thump followed by a groan.

"I'm guessing you just fell." I said out loud.

He groaned in response and I climbed down.

When I got to the wall I jumped down to the floor and landed perfectly. I stepped over his body, but he grabbed my ankle to keep me from going any farther.

"Help me up."

"I didn't hear a please..." I said in a sing-song voice.

"Please." He said nicely.

I thought about it for a minute before reaching down to grab his arm. I pulled and almost made myself fall.

"You're suppose to help a little." I said.

"Oh." Was his only reply.

I pulled him up with help from him this time and we walked back to where we started.

"You two pick two more people to go with you." Zander announced.

"Trey."I said and he skipped over to me.

"You." Austin said, pointing to Asher.

Asher walked over to where we were all standing and the others started walking off. The four of us turned around and counted. When we finished we looked at each other for ideas on how we were going to go about this.

"We should split up into pairs." Asher suggested.

"I will go with Austin!" Trey said loudly.

"Okay then, so I'm going with Nicole." Asher said and moved so he was closer to me.

The guys nodded and Austin handed a flashlight to Asher. Asher and I went in the opposite direction of Austin and Trey.

"So are you falling for him yet?" Asher asked once we were a ways away for the other two.

"Who?" I asked confused.

"Austin." He replied like I should have already known the answer.

"No, why would you say that?"

"He's oh so famous, he has every girl falling at his feet." He replied bitterly.

"Are you jealous that he has girls falling all over him?" I asked teasing him.

"I'm not jealous that he has girls falling all over him." He said and stopped like he was going to continue, but didn't.

"Really because that's exactly what it sounds like."

"Whatever." He said and leads us towards the houses.
