New faces

"BUT PEGGYYYYYY" John whined.

"NO BUTS! YOU ARE DOING THIS WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT!" Peggy screeched back as John frowned. Peggy planned to take John to a party along with Hercules, Lafayette, Eliza, and Angelica to meet some of Peggy's new friends.
"Plus, I really want you to meet these people" Peggy added. "They're really nice and I think you might like one of them!" She stated, smirking through the last bit.

"And what makes you think that?" John said, now crossing his arms.

"Well...You'll see!" Peggy responded with a grin plastered across her face.

"You're no fun" John pouted.

"I know" she smiled. "Now let's go before we're late!" Peggy beamed, clearly too happy for this occasion.

As they walked in, Peggy spotted the two people almost immediately, and raced towards them, dragging John behind.

-John's POV-

"Did you really have to drag me? I have my own feet, ya know!" I whined.

"Shhhhh because I felt like it! Now shush and let me introduce you to these people!" Peggy exclaimed. One boy and one girl turned around to face me. The girl looked like Peggy but wore red instead of yellow and had her hair down.

"Hi! I'm Maria Reynolds. It's a pleasure meeting you" Maria said.

"A pleasure meeting you as well" I responded as I turned to see the other one. I felt my heart practically explode as I looked into his eyes. They were coffee brown and had bags under them. Something about him made me feel...helpless.

"Uh, hello? Are you there?" the man said as his facial expressions changed to more of a concerned expression. Only now, I realized I was staring him down.

"Huh? Oh! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to stare at you like that...I just-"

"Alexander Hamilton" The man said, cutting John off.

"What?" I questioned, not understanding what he meant.

"My name" He responded

"Oh! Sorry! I'm John Laurens. It's nice to meet you" I said, trying to stay calm. Calm. Not exactly a word in my dictionary right now.

"Can I get you a drink or anything?" Alexander said.

"That would be nice" I replied. As he walked off, I felt a hand on my shoulder. I spun around, ready to smack some drunk guy in the face, only to see Peggy.

"So I see you already like him~" Peggy teased as I felt heat rising to my cheeks so fast I could literally be a living sun.

"Oh, Alexander? Psh nahhh" I said with great sarcasm.

"I totally ship it" Peggy responded.

"Oh shush" I said as I swatted playfully at her arm.

He really did make me feel helpless.

Absolutely helpless.
