CHAPTER 1

My life is over.I have nothing. I just saw my friends die right before my eyes. I was too slow to save them. Leo drowned. Jason died trying to protect Piper. He was crushed by a giant. Piper was pulled into the earth. Frank and Hazelboth got a spear driven through their chests. Thalia died trying to protect Nico. Her neck was broken. Nico was trampled upon by giants. Then. My Wise Girl. Gaea herself killed her. With a sword in her pure heart. I left camp. But when I got to my mom's apartment I saw her and my stepdad lying dead beside each other. On the wall was a note. FAMILY FOR FAMILY.-T. A cry of agony escaped my throat. I left the building and left for the beach.
