The Flirt

When we first met

(Taylor's pov)

Today is my first day of freshman year and I really don't know what to think. I am hoping to make a few new friends since all but one of my friends decided to go to a different high school than the one we were suppose to go to.

I set my alarm for 5:30 because school starts at 7:35 and I have to take a bus that leaves my stop at 6:50.

I decide to go with a pair of Nike shorts and a t-shirt from the school that says Volleyball and our mascot.

I make my lunch, a waterbottle, and put my athletic clothes in my bag. Then before I head out I grab a apple and head for my bus stop.

** After the bus ride **

I get to the school at 7:15 and wait out front for my best friend, Macy. I text her where to meet me and within seconds she appears.

We give eachother a big hug and then take out our schedules. "Ok so first i have Bio." I say looking up at her to see her reaction. She looks down and back up.

"Geometry." She says looking a little upset. While I am about to cry.

"It's okay Taylor. What's next?"

"Spanish 2?"

"Yeah!!! Me too!" She says "Next."

"Volleyball block." I say a little upset knowing Macy doesn't play so we won't have it together.

"Chior."

"Ok what lunch do you have?" I say annoyed because we only have one class together.

"2nd."

"Aww." I say tricking Macy. "Me too!"

She looks up and laughs. "You scared me." She says slapping me arm.

"Come on. Let's go before we're late." She says pulling me inside.

After I walk Macy to Geometry I make my way to Bio. When I get there I only see about 10 kids my age and a couple older kids. They must have failed.

I take my seat in the 3rd row out of 5 so I don't seem like a super smart kid or a kid trying to avoid the teacher.

I take out my phone because i have about 10 minutes left until class actually starts. As I pull out my notebook while listening to music I feel someone sit right next to me.

Scared to see who it is I turn my chair and act like I'm on my phone. That's when I feel my earbud being pulled out.

"Hello." I hear a deep voice say.

I turn quickly to see who had taken out my earbud just to see a tanish skin guy with light brown hair and beautiful blue eyes. I realize I am staring and reply.

"Yes?" I say kinda annoyed that he inturrupted my song.

He puts out his hand and says "I'm Jace. And you are?"

"I'm annoyed that you stopped my music." I look at him in a way to say to piss off. But instead he chuckles.

He may be annoying, but he sure as heck is cuteeeeee.

"Ok dang! Sorry-here." He says handing me my earbud.

The class is half way over when Jace taps me on the shoulder. Not again I think.

"What do you want?"

"Since we're probably going to get paired up for projects and stuff... can I get your number?" He says handing me his phone.

"Umm sure. I guess." I say putting in my number.

"What.. No name?" He says smiling at me.

I just srugg it off and hand him his phone.

He smiles at me and then turns back to the teacher.

What is up with this boy? I think to myself as the bell rings.

Off to Spanish, where I finally get to see Macy.

Yeah!

"Macy! I scream as I can see her across the hall. She looks at me and jogs from one side of the hall to another.

"Oh my gosh Taylor you will not belive how many cute boys are in my geometry class." She says blushing.

"Oh really? You like any of them?"

"Uh well like duh. There is this really tall blond guy and owww he is so so cute, but what about you?" She says raising an eyebrow.

"Well this guy asked for my number, but he said he wanted it for like homework reasons and he was kinda annoying at first because he kept trying to talk to me while i was listening to my music... but he was really cute." I say feeling my cheeks getting hotter.

"Yeahhhhh!" She sqeals as we take pur seats in Spanish. "Now we both can habe a boyfriend!" She says smiling at me.

"Yup." I say, clearly not as excited as her.

Finally Spanish is over and it's time for lunch period.

Macy and I brought our lunch so we hurry to find a table in a corner where nobody will see us.

"So what are you gonna do about that guy?" Macy ask me as I'm trying to eat.

"His name is Jace and I'm not going to do anything." I say feeling my cheeks getting redder again.

"Oh com'on you have to. Somebody finally likes you snd you're not gonna do anything about it?" She says raising an eyebrow.

"Who said he likes me? He probably just wants to copy off my homework, and you know me... I let everyone copy off of me, so it's nothing new."

I look around the cafeteria and my eyes fall on one table. And at that tabke sits..

Jace.

He catches me staring and smiles and I immediately turn around.

"What was that?" Macy says

"What was what?" I say trying to hide the fact that i was staring at Jace... good thing she doesn't know exactly what he looks like.

Macy just sruggs it off as i look back once more to see Jace walking our way.

No,no,no,no

I think. This can not be happening. As I turn around I feel an arm next to me. And when I look over I can't help but look into those sky blue eyes.

"Hey." He says with that grin that could literally kill.

"Does your name happen to be Jace?" Macy says with a smile. And with that i kick her under the tabke. "Owe!!"

"Yeah actually how did you know that?" Jace says sending me a smirk.

"Well you see... my friend here-" I send her another kick amd she stops.

Jace looks at me with confusion in his eyes.

"You know... I never did get your name."

"Because I never told you it."

"Well what is it?" He says getting closer to me.

"Nunnya." I say as I get up and pack my stuff. "Com'on Macy. Let's go." I pull Macy up from the table ans drag her out of the cafeteria.

What a great first day I think to myself.

I don't wanna like anyone already, but he's making hard not to.

Uggg...BOYSSS!!!
