The Noise of the Dark

Darkness

   Darkness, one of my fears of the night. The dark itself is creepy and silent. Listing by itself its kind of peaceful.

   "Shhh!!!" A loud noise makes me jump out of bed. Not knowing of its origin I look around hesitantly. Thinking I'm losing my mind I lay back down and say ,"Its just a mouse".

   "Shhh!!!" There it is again. Getting up this time, I run outside my room not knowing what to expect. The house is once again silent and my room still dark. The lights won't turn on. "The power must be out" I say in a hopeful voice as I tip toe towards my bed and lay down never falling asleep.

Sitting there awake bothered me. Alone I was reminded of how much I hate the dark. The unexpected noise had passes about an hour ago but, I can never shake the feeling of dreadful fear I have in my head.

   Finally, I drift back asleep with my thoughts cleared. But then the sound came back but, this time I could make out a voice saying ,"Shhh! I'm not hear. I'm not real. I'm in your head". This was enough for me to go get my parents but, I wish I never saw what was left of them.

   I ran into their room to see decaying and rotting bodies. Their my parents, it looks like they died months ago. Their faces look mangled and horrific. I run out the room crying, hoping the phone still works.

   "Hello" I say with fear, hoping someone will pick up.

   "Hello". Someone picked up. I almost screamed.
" 911 What's your emergency "

   "I need help, my parents they...". I stopped abruptly. On the other end I hear screaming and gushing noises. I hang up not wanting to know what just happened on the other end of the line.

   Running to the locked door that keeps me inside my house I unlock it and run out. Its silent in my neighborhood. No birds, no people, not a thing in sight. I run across the street and knocked vigorously on the door.

   No response.

   I walked inside the surprising unlocked door to find the same sight of my parents. Mangled and decaying the two body's sat. They look untouched and in order as if they were about to eat.

   "AHH!!!" I see some one in the distance running away from what looks like nothing. He screams help right in front of me. I have no idea what's going on with him until I see is decaying legs. They look like the other body's.

   "I've been bitten!!!!" He screams.

   I hear foot steps slowly approaching me and the man. I try to help the man but he yells at me to run. I see foot prints slowly approach me as nothing was there. The man yells "its invisible in the dark dumb ass". I drop the man I was trying to save and ran for my life.

   Ahh!!! I trip, well I think. I look at my leg, u am in tremendous pain. My legs decaying, I try to craw away. I look behind as the sun rises and I see the horrible monster that has killed my cities people.

   Then black. Nothing but darkness once again. I see everyone, they're alive or am I dead? Is this Heaven? Is this Hell? Where am I?
