"I'll have a Bloody Mary! And that rum cocktail looks good too. And I'd like that one. Florida Sunshine, right? We'll have one of those too!
Brooke turned to fulfill the orders, making sure that she looked as sexy and tempting as possible as she did so. Although it wasn't really her job to serve the people at the club, she felt that she could get used to it. Her original job was that she was a dancer. A stripper to be blunt.
Brooke didn't mind her job though. While most would say it was a degrading job for a woman to have, Brooke saw it differently. She loved being up there, in the spotlight. She loved showing off for the audience and seeing their faces light up as she performed for them. She loved seeing everyone watching her in awe as she danced her heart out for them.
And the audience loved seeing her dance too. Brooke was really attractive. She was of medium height, had fair skin, boasted fiery orange-red hair and emerald eyes to go along with the hair. Her lips were soft, round and lush and many men found themselves charmed by those lips. Her voice was like honey, sweet and delightful to the ear. It was no surprise that she was the star attraction of the club and so she was well paid. She owned a nice place in the big parts of the city, well furnished and very lavish. She was living the life.
She brought the men their drinks, setting them down one by one, giving each of them men special attention. She winked at them and one of them got so intrigued with her, he dropped the cash he was going to use to pay for the drinks. He collected the money off the ground and passed it to Brooke.
Brooke walked over to the bar where Diana, the bartender and a close friend of Brooke's was preparing drinks. She looked up at Brooke as she approached and smirked. "Seems that you're getting as much attention off the pole as on it." Diana remarked, pointing the money Brooke got from tips.
"A bit too much, if you ask me." Brooke replied, counting out the money. Although Brooke liked to be looked at, she didn't like if they looked too hard. She didn't like perverts (ironic really, since most of her customers were perverts) and her temper did not tolerate people messing with her. However if you managed to get on her good side, she was a lively person who could take a joke and make up one just as fast.
"Oh please. No amount of attention can be described as too much. Plus you get almost the same amount of attention on the pole as you do down here. I never recalled you saying it was too much." Brooke passed a customer his drink.
Brooke looked longingly at the pole, wishing that she was dancing instead of serving drinks. She had sprained her ankle the week before, rendering her unable to dance. Eager to get back to work, she had taken up the job of a waitress, so she could see her friends and make some extra money.
Diana saw her staring at the pole and felt her friend's pain. She whipped up two margaritas and passed one to Brooke. "Don't worry," she said, raising her glass, "You'll soon be up on the stage, basking in all your glory. Until then, mind helping your friend finish these margaritas?"
Brooke smiled at her friend's attempt to cheer her up and raised her glass. Friends like Diana were rare. They were the type of friends that helped you through everything. They were there for you when you needed them most. They were the type of the friends who saw you suffering and offered you a drink.
They were the "one in a million" friends.
"I'd like to propose a toast!" Diana stood up and raised her glass high. "To my best friend!"
Brooke smiled and raised her glass as well. "To the perfect life."
"Amen to that." Diana said before clinking their glasses together and starting on her margarita. Brooke sipped her margarita as she thought. She did have the perfect life. She had a job she loved, great friends, all the money she wanted and all the drinks she could wish for.
